How we harvested our honey using an extractor.

Our honey harvest process using the electric extractor. We did a harvest using our flow hives. Gotta tell you, it's way cleaner and easier using the flow hives...

Honey looks delicious. We had a successful spring harvest, hoping the summer harvest will be as good. Flow hives not for me though I enjoy the extracting and the uncapping, makes me appreciative of all the work the bees have done to cap each cell. Something cold about the flow hives, stick in a metal bar and turn. Beekeeping is an old craft and I like being part of that process. Enjoyed the video though

I understand that perspective. Flow hives aren't for everyone for sure. I do love the ease of extracting honey and the fact that not one single bee died or even was bothered when I pulled honey from the flow frames. Can't say the same about the traditional way. But it is more immersive extracting the "traditional" way. But so much more messy and I pulled my lower back muscles lifting boxes...
