    Amazing. I have never tried lotus root but it looks delicious. There is an Asian market in one of the neighboring towns so I will look for it. Thank you for sharing.

    Looks so good! When have you got to add the Kelp stock? Thanks

      Thank you! Stir-fry the kelp for 3 minutes, then add the kelp stock to the pan. Braise it for additional 3 to 4 minutes.😊

    Thank you for making this video. Can I ask how is it best to cook lotus root if it’s been bought sliced and frozen? Would that still work for this recipe?

      You're welcome! I've never tried to make it with frozen lotus roots. I'm glad you gave me the idea of trying frozen lotus roots.

    How long do you fry the lotus root for ?

    • @JiaChoiChef
      @JiaChoiChef  Před 2 lety

      I stir-fried for about 5~7 minutes. This recipe makes crunchy lotus roots. Some people like it chewy, so if you like it that way stir fry longer(15 minutes).

    Lotus roots quite hard , not easy to chew

    • @JiaChoiChef
      @JiaChoiChef  Před 5 měsíci

      You will need to cook it longer until it turns soft. I like crunchy so I've cooked it for a short time. 😄

      This recipe makes a super crunchy texture, not mushy! : )
