Your garden looks like paradise. I am super impressed by your results. I also like your approach of letting things grow where they want to and where they naturally thrive. I see a lot of people attempting "permaculture" but they have very rigid plans and ideas of what it should look like, so they keep on uprooting 'volunteer' plants that seeded themselves. That's totally counterintuitive to me. If it wants to grow there so bad (and it's something you eat) why don't you let it? I am also impressed by your knowledge of which plants and plant parts you can consume, like the details you gave about passion fruit flowers and leave tips. That information is quite hard to come by. I just think it's important to learn all parts of plants you can eat, not just the parts that are sold in shops. Anyways, really lovely video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your message . I am really happy to share things that I discover and I am still learning so many things by just doing and observing. Yes, it is quite fascinating how many parts of a plant we can actually make use of , when we see that then suddenly the abundance in a garden becomes much bigger!! I also try to learn and integrate more edible weed that are around , I believe these are the real superfoods :) Thank you for watching!
Absolutely beautiful garden. And those green food wraps are inspired. I thought i'd been doing well, eating a variety of green leaves from the garden every day for the past 2 years, but I need to up my game dramatically!
I’m speechless at the abundance and how you transform things to make eating leaves and fruit much more interesting. So many ideas here. I garden in. Mediterranean climate, very different, but we grow some similar things. Yes, eating cucumbers is the best way to hydrate! All the best to you 🌱❤️
I can watch you videos all day….every day. Amazing and bountiful garden. I learn a lot from watching especially about eatable flowers and greens that I didn’t was eatable even I grew up on an island with a mom who always had a garden. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Oh my goodness! I just read your “about me! “ I live in Bangalore and we have been in search of some land- very slowly we have a big project at home right now, but I will definitely be following your experience and advice here! I am so excited to have found your channel! Looking forward to getting ideas
At the beginning, i just love to grow, gradually, amazed me, i got luck, more and more, the compost is the key. A lot of gren leaves, i have to learn how to eat them. I realized gardening actually changes my life style. Now, i don't buy papaya and banana anymore...love your wrap, Hope you have the video to show how you make it. 💜
You live in absolute beautiful abundance. This is my dream life just so difficult to attain. Keep sharing your videos they are so peaceful and beautiful.
Awesome...👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻Only buy toothpaste and toilet paper😁... That's the way to live...... Like the wraps.... but couldn't make out what's all the greens 🥗... Watching you video while my wobblers are busy.... Working like a dream.. Thanks🙏👍
This is so inspiring.😍 this is what I prayed for, to have something like this garden. We get to grow our own food and be dependent on it and learn to live simply and close to nature..Love it 💐❤️ God bless..
Wow.. your garden is pure eye candy...so much green and everything is thriving 👍👍👍👍😍😍😍... actually I don't know if you are familiar or not but actually you can eat pumpkin and bottle gourd leaves .. better gourd leaves also edible...
Oh, that is interesting.Thank you. I knew that pumpkin seeds are edible and I used to make wraps with them when working as a chef in a vegan restaurant, But I never tried bottle gourd and bitter gourd leaves! Amazing how many parts of a plant we actually can use an do not consider as useful!
Yes, price of living depends on how much food you grow yourself. As for the land, I live in Auroville and we do not own any land here - it belongs to the community. I am grateful to take care of it.
Hola!
Please plant dandelions🌻 and broadleaf plantain🍃 too... And maybe you can grow mushrooms🍄 too. They help fertilise and distribute nutrients in the soil for all plants..
I love dandelion ! when I was still living in Europe every spring it was so great to collect dandelion and its flowers...I think dough here in the topics they will not make it!
Thank you ! I think it is also possible to grow a lot of variety in a small space garden, maybe not a lot of fruit trees, but sometimes a small space can be planted densely, I have started in a very small space as well.
@@MyFoodForest Yes, that's what I'm doing. Planting a little bit of each plants I actually eat. But I would love to grow a lot of fruit bearers & no more space for them. I already have in containers, too! 😅
I ate some chips yesterday with some ketchup. The ketchup has a very funny taste. It taste like when you used a brand new water tank, that plastic taste that you get after drinking water from the new tank. I don't like edible package stuff. Natural is the way to go.
Oh, I agree !All the packaged stuff with a label of ingredients in it does not belong into our bodies. And we can feel it when we get conscious about the food we eat. Many times even we do not know what is inside these products. Natural thing they do not need any label and contain all the nutrients we need!
OMG,,,where are u? It looks very familiar, just like Indian garden. Most of the vegetables n herbs are Indian. The (Indian) spinach u showed called Poi is also my fav.
Hello. How long have you been on this fresh raw food. Please make a video on the effects it shown on health. And what else do you do. Is this it? Is it enough? What's the future?
Hi Manoj ! Thanks for the video Idea, I surely plan to talk about this topic in a future video as I believe it can be helpful for other. When I started to grow my own food about 4 years ago I also stopped cooking my food and eating it fresh. I could feel so many things improve and it gives me way more energy compared to cooked foods and there are so many other benefits that come with it!
I'm just starting a food forest...you are my inspiration. Any tips on what seeds to plant in which season? I am in Goa which probably has the same weather as you.
Papayas all year round. Cucumbers as well. You can plant everything after the monsoon rain , beginning of winter. Tomatoes, herbs, basil ,long beans, and salads, rocket ....will grow only in the cool season. Everything els all year round!
Thanks! I add all kinds of sprouts to my salads, and also grow mustard greens which are really high in protein, same with moringa leaves that I consume every day. And then there are nuts and seeds and all the fruits and veggies, basically all the whole foods contain protein as well. Eating enough of these should cover the protein our body needs:)
🙏🏵️ admiring the beautiful place and the much work you are doing...in which of auroville communities is your garden ? since we do not have much of fresh greens, it would be interesting to try those wraps (? is it the right name ?) that come out of the dehydrator...do you sell some of your products in Pondicherry ? 🙏🏵️
Hi Anna- Thank you for your message. I do not sell the products in shops, as I primary make them for my own consumption, but I will soon start giving some workshops here at my place and use them and sell some of the food processed item at my place.
ive just broken ground on my back garden in tropical india. i would love to know what you do through the rains to keep the space in shape and what crops work through this period.
Just wanna tell u dont eat salads or raw things at night. They are hard to digest at night according to ayurveda as the digestive heat is low at night, so make simple foods like soups, boiled vegetables, or cooked vegetables, etc
There are a lot of eild animals - i could make a vid just about them 😊 lots of Sakes , which i have to be careful of- and mangoose , monkeys , peakoks , wild pigs and cows ehich are not funny to have in thre garden , skorpions , and many birds and squirrols and cameleons just to name a few.....
Hearing the chirping of the birds so wonderfully amazing..aw😍😍😍

In Tamil Nadu - Auroville . The garden space is about 1 tenth of an acre-800m2
