I thought this episode was fun! It was so sweet, you can tell how nervous Jenn was but I think she’s going to do great 🥹
I think Jenn did a great job! She spoke from her heart, and was confident and flirty where she needed to be. I also had tears in my eyes when she said she didn't feel like the bachelorette, but then realized she IS the main character, because it paralleled my own journey as an Asian woman and something that I've had to heal from myself.
When the balloons started popping when he was under the tree I thought it was so funny. He's a goofy character but seems sweet. Jen is gorgeous,🌹

It was a good first episode! I enjoyed it. The only thing was her picking Sam for first impression rose, he gives off douchey vibes so I hope she's not a bad picker.

The guy curling his eyelashes reminded of a boyfriend I had as a teenager. I was waiting for him to get ready for a date at his house and the bathroom door was open by about 6 inches. I seen him curling his hair with a curling iron. I was shocked as didn’t know guys did that. This was decades ago. Another time I came in and his mom was putting perm rods in on the sides so he has a perm to give him the feathered look. Both incidents were a big turn off and quite emasculating in my eyes. Just lost the teenage lust after this and broke it off.

Jenn is so genuine, humble, sweet, kind, intelligent, and drop dead gorgeous ... everything you would want in a Bachelorette. I now understand why Dave didn't like her. She is very intelligent and emotionally mature, very different from Maria's immature fans whom Dave deeply resonates with. Dave seems uncomfortable recapping this episode. He knows he was wrong for accusing her of being boring , expecting it would be a boring season, telling everyone that she wasn't his type. (I am sure he is not her type either.) The guys couldn't be more into her, and I think Dave secretly hates that. After all, he said a million times how they were not cast for her. A spiritually wise person would know that there are no accidents or mistakes; they were cast for her by a Higher Power because here they were ... finding love together, learning lessons, working out karma, falling in love, etc. (I challenge you, Dave, not to delete my comment or hide it from the public, but to reflect on your petty attitude toward Jenn when she was announced the bachelorette. A kind, big-hearted, progressive (as Dave claims to be) person would get over his childish obsession with Maria, celebrate with the nation and the Asian American community, and say nice and supportive things about our first Asian American Bachelorette. But NO, he took every opportunity he could to put her down.
I don't remember him ever saying that he didn't like her as a person. I think he just preferred Maria as the next bachelorette.
@@jenniferhansen3622 Every time he talked about Jenn being the bachelorette, he reminded everyone that she was the third choice. He wouldn't shut up about this. He went on and on every single time. He didn't want her to feel good about being chosen. He made sure she knew she was the first Asian bachelorette only by default, thus putting her and community down. He can be very petty, insensitive, and ruthless. (He went after a mentally-ill person (Clayton's accuser) with a zealous passion, showing no mercy toward someone whom we should have a lot of compassion for. He could have handled all that with sensitivity and kindness. But he didn't.) He said Jenn was boring and it would be a boring season, and that she wasn't his type. Maria is somewhat immature and drama-filled, someone he vibes with and prefers. (Would men want to date someone who is always at the center of drama? Yet Dave worships her.) Jenn is kind, loving, sweet, intelligent, gorgeous, and emotionally mature. Dave doesn't like her and doesn't think she is worthy of this role because he doesn't vibe with those qualities. He vibes with Maria because she is "drama" (his own words). The world is filled with drama and conflicts already. We need kindness and positivity. Dave inspired his viewers to strive for drama and to go against a bachelorette who is kind, sweet, and drama-free. Jenn got a lot of hate after filming because of people like Dave. What a sad way to use his platform!!!

Dave expressed his sentiments over and over; that's why I couldn't help but felt he did not like Jenn, especially when she is so sweet and has not done anything to deserve the hate that she received. As an influencer, I wanted to remind him that he has some responsibility to the people he speaks about when expressing his opinions. (The other influencers were much kinder to Jenn.) Although Jane Doe's actions have been outrageous, at the end of the day, she is a mentally-ill person and deserves our compassion. Again, Dave kept making videos putting her down. We all know she is crazy and needs help. There is no need to kick a dog when it's down.
@@jenniferhansen3622 P.S. The stereotype of Asians is that they are boring. Without knowing much about Jenn, Dave repeatedly fed this stereotype. He made careless claims without knowing the person. For some reason, being kind and drama-free is boring. Now that I've seen the first episode, I don't think Jenn is boring at all. She is a beautiful soul with a lot going on in her life. Dave talked about wanting to make his platform something that would make the world a better place, but when it comes to Jane Doe, Jenn, Nick, his platform is not a caring place at all; in fact it makes the world a less loving place. I wouldn't be surprised if the hate Jenn received came from some of Dave's viewers. He was relentless in making comments that put Jenn down every time he talked about her being the new bachelorette.
Jenn was great and stunning!! could not stand the bandage, so gross!! must have been dozing for best entrance, Hakeem with all the balloons!! Agreed first episode always a bit boring. So sad to see Brett sent packing on night one...
I don’t have anything wrong with a man curling his eye lashes. If a man wants to and it makes him happy let em. If a man wants to wear a dress let him. He gets to decide what that means for him.
He would just have to be honest with anyone he dates though so that they can make an informed decision on whether or not they would be compatible. Besides, if that's what makes him really happy and a girl he goes out with doesn't like it, he'd probably want to know right away so he doesn't go out with her again.

I don't really have much of an opinion on her yet, but all opinions are welcome. The way she talks is a little off-putting to me. I feel like her voice goes up at the end of her sentences. When people do that it always feels fake to me as if they're trying too hard to seem cute. I also hear a vocal fry. The "shot o'clock" thing is very obnoxious. I'll watch anyway and see how it goes. I've watched every season of all of these shows so I might as well. 😊
