I think some people might have been thinking that because Britt isn't Fulani, she shouldn't wear the hairstyle. Basically, although we are all African, there are still several tribes and ethnic groups among us who each have their own unique braiding styles. As a Nigerian, I don't really have a problem with it personally.

I was so confused when I was doing the mini twist. Like the twist was so damn small then next thing I know it's huge??!!🥴🥴
@@Mickeii617 it took me 2-3 times before i learned the right size for my hair. i do it on blown out hair and i have to grab uncomfortably small sections for my mini twists to look right and they still swell up to much larger than the original twist...but i cant say enough..its sooooooo worth it. i do about half the size of a pencil eraser for each twist...its SUPER small.

Before & after makeup are 2 different styles, or she retwisted during video break. There was a twist on her right side that wasn't straight back but after makeup they all go straight back

Beautiful Fulani hairstyle 💓 I think it's alright as long as the original names are maintained. It educates other people and it's also respectful to the original culture.
What bothers people is when it seems like hairstyles just got invented by whoever is doing it.
It's like what lupita did when Vogue tried to say her style was inspired by Audrey Hepburn and on her Instagram she decided to put a picture of a lady from Africa in colonial times with the same hairstyle hinting what inspired her.
Those things just matter to us Africans.
Dear Brave I agree with you. It's usually white Americans that will re-name styles from black/African culture. If black Americans are aware of the original term we use it.
I don't like culture appropriation either. It's ok to wear the style as long as it's origin and original name is referenced and respected. Some people in power who want dominance over everything have a hard time doing that for black people.
