Friends! Hello! As you guys might know, we’ve been working on a video for the past couple of weeks - and it has kind of ended up kicking my butt more than I thought it would when I first started editing it. I just wanted to update you guys with a quick note - we really want to try to post twice this month, and we think our best bet is to actually pivot and work on the next video first, and then come back to this video afterwards, to try and approach it with sort of a fresh mindset (the funny thing is, I thought it would be a simple video, but it’s just a lot longer than I thought it would be). So we’re going to be switching gears and trying to put out that “second” video first - and post twice later in the month. (We still might not make 2x this month, but we want to give it our best shot).
Also - a quick note about the editing updates in our stories - as I mentioned in my ~blog post~ a couple of months ago, we are definitely still struggling to figure out our workflow. I think maybe in the editing updates I come across like I’m very sure of our process, or that this process is just ~what we do~, but I can understand if they seem confusing or endless to you guys, and honestly I am also frustrated with how long it takes us to do certain steps that used to take us no time at all. I’m not going to stop doing the editing updates, because I think it’s better to check in, rather than just disappearing for weeks on end, but I guess I would say - just take them to mean more like “this is what we’re doing today” and less like “this is how we edit our videos!” because our editing process at this point is sort of just like a wild horse we are trying to tame, lol.
I also just want to thank you guys for being understanding and patient with us - I promise we are making plans to rebuild our business and our channel and hope to be able to execute on them early in the new year. Ok, that’s all for now - I’m going to get back to editing!!
