American Robins and Eastern Bluejays (adults and fledglings) take over the plates we fill with dried mealworms. Overall they may squawk or hiss at each other but they do tend to get along. Also, when a Common Crow or a Hawk flies in, they will both retreat to the bushes nearby or the 4' tall purple salvia to avoid these larger birds. They don't know how gentle the crowd are, but don't worry their secret is safe with us!
