My working experience on FARM IN ICELAND (it was hard) 🇮🇸

  • I came to Iceland to find a job. Job on farm was first thing I found so I went for it as Yesman. Although I worked on farm before it turned out to be quite challenging. However living with Icelandic family was a great experience that nobody will ever take from me.

    This is my dream, to leave agricultural college and work on a farm in Iceland. We went on holiday there for a week three years ago and I've been desperate to go back ever since!
    We've got icelandic sheep here on our farm in Scotland and I just adore them, and the whole sheep farming system.

      If you are Scottish, you are already part-Icelandic! We have a thousand-year old connection: We tried to steal your pretty women but mostly failed. Still, we managed to steal a few and genetic evidence has that we are almost as much Celtic as Norwegian! Anyway, I spent almost on year working as an airline pilot out of Aberdeen in 2006 and simply found myself 'at home'. The general spirit and attitude of Scots, Norwegians and Icelanders is such that we will drunkenly agree that we are brothers in every sense that matters.

    I was staying in Iceland for 11 months working on a dairy farm close to Akureyri. Thanks to Nínukot I became part of a lovely Icelandic family, got to explore the Icelandic culture and nature. Although I had no farming experience when I came to Iceland, Svanborg found a nice farm for me where they were willing to teach me everything. Besides work I also had enough time to travel the country and make new friends. It was the best time of my life!

    Islanďani si z turistů rádi dělají legraci... třeba tak, že jim nakecají, že si pamatují tváře a jména svých ovcí :D nebo taky tvrdívají, že když zakopou do země žraloka, aby tam maso fermentovalo, že ho pomočí před tím, než ho zase zahrabou hlínou...

    • @PavelAdventurer
      @PavelAdventurer  Před 4 lety +1
