The police need to be looked in to 2 where sacked that where known to talk to bellfeild for yrs ,one off the reasons he avoided detection over 5 times ,sa was the reason they wheresacked this case along with the phone tap of md. And a few other things makes this case very iffy Richard d hall done a good vid on this case ,

Good luck with that the Cardiff police set up the Cardiff three completely provable yet they “lost” the evidence pre trial so the case was conveniently dropped.

Very interesting and a very clear report. I hope they get a move on and get Stone released. The legal system has well and truly disgraced itself .

Maybe? Levi thinks he will just take the rap because he can't get an y more prison time, and it will fill him with joy to get the police and justice system in trouble .
    Just a thought.

Bck when this hppned most of uk knew that Michael didn't fit the mo off a ,spur of the moment attacker the man was a herion addict ,bck then police liked tidying up cases in one swoop ,one burglary you wld get stitched for as many Astley wanted on u ,or you drive around pointing the shops u Haddon and got away with, but that was the game that was played on both sides new the risks ,end of day you dnt sit in jail mulling over something you didn't do if u had got away with ,10 other jobs ,

This development is clearly something that needs to be investigated but it would appear it is going to be very difficult to prove that Bellfield is telling the truth. It is not in doubt that he is a highly dangerous and manipulative character and likes to be in the limelight. It remains to be seen whether or not this so called confession leads to anything.

@@anthonycrompton6922 In that case it would appear to strengthen his confession, but it is still possible someone else told him the information that is secret. In my opinion Bellfield cannot be trusted. That does not mean I think Stone is guilty.

I always thought this was connected to Milly Dowlers case. I'm not sure why really. Milly reminded me of Josie I think. The police are always very reluctant to do any investigating that may lead to them being proven wrong so I imagine they're dragging their heels to properly investigate Bellfield and would rather an innocent man rot in prison.

@Sean Martin Convicted killer makes confession which could result in the police being publicly humiliated due to the conviction of an innocent man which will then result in every officer involved being investigated and the case being scrutinised in minute detail. Atleast one officer could potentially be outed for incompetence, be it factual or to manufacture a scapegoat or corruption may be exposed.
The police don't like it when they are forced to admit they were wrong and have previous for covering up their 'mistakes' to avoid the shamefull experience of making an apology and act that they give a f#ck.
If Belfield has irrefutable evidence, the police will drag the situation out until they have no other option but to admit defeat.
