Canarian Spanish sounds exactly like the Spanish spoken in Puerto Rico. As it should be considering the massive migration from the Canary islands to Puerto Rico that began in the 1600s. Over 80% of Puerto Ricans can trace their DNA to the Canary Islands to this day.
Nope. It's like saying people from Andalucía speak the same as in the Canaries. They're similar but still quite different and recognisable.
It doesn't sound exactly the same, but Canarian dialect is probably the strongest influence.

Siempre me gusta aprender las diferencias de gramática y vocabulario que existen entre países/regiones diferentes. Por ejemplo, el maíz tiene otro nombre más en Paraguay/Argentina/etc. Se llama choclo.

Las isla canaria y Puerto Rico tiene muchísimo en común/similar. Especialmente en su vocabulario. Muchos puertorriqueños absorben la letra R, y S. Pero no todos, pues hay muchos que hablan bien el castellano. Gracias por compartir con el mundo 🌎 pues hay muchas personas tan ignorante. Mas que orgullosa de mis ancestros y cultura de las Islas canarias y España; a lo que es Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 la isla del encanto. Wepa!!

El dialecto Canario, mas que el Peninsular; ha influenciado a todo el Caribe y al restp de Latino America. Pero tambien en Las Canarias han importado muchas palabras de origen del nuevo mundo.

En Filipinas, usamos la palabra "balde" también. Es interesante que la palabra no viniera de españa. Tenemos unas palabras españolas, pero parece que no toda sea de españa. Es probable que unas palabras vinieran a traves de otras paises las que fueron conquistado por españa.
@@alvingarcia9311 Soy un filipino que también habla español aunque actualmente vivo en los Estados Unidos. Me alegro de que todavía haya filipinos intentando aprender español. El español tuvo un impacto tan grande en nuestra cultura. Creo que fue un error no preservarlo.

Si los Canarios teniamos Tributo en Sangre, por lo que nos hemos visto obligados a emigrar, así se fundaron ciudades como San Antonio en Texas, algunas poblaciones como Matanzas, Bayamón, Mayagüez, Sabana de la Mar, San Fernando de Montecristi, Baní, Montevideo... Con el tiempo desapareció el Tributo en Sangre y se emigró en tiempos de guerra o pobreza, aún se conserva el término "isleño" para referirse a estos emigrantes Canarios.

My parents were born in Cuba but their parents all came from Spain. When I speak spanish I sound more like Carlos, but the only word that i knew was "guagua". The rest of it sounded straight up Puerto Rican except that he was able to pronounce r's.

Es que el llamado idioma canario bereber es el mismo que el llamado español canario
Es decir, más del ochenta por ciento de las palabras del idioma canario amazigh son iguales que las del español canario.
Esta es la evidencia científica de que el español es una lengua de origen bereber
