Such a wonderful craft room! Nice and spacious too! I just wanted to say: It’s very nice to see a resurgence of people wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine. I started sewing when I was very young and it has been nothing but rewarding. You can easily mend things, use stitching in your craft items and eventually create not only your own clothing but also household items such as curtains, bed skirts and pillows, etc. ....(depending on how far you would like to take it). You asked if anyone had any suggestions...... I would say: start with easy projects. Sewing pages as embellishments in your scrapbooking will help you get familiar with the various stitches and what your machine can do. Sewing an apron is also a good first project. Remember...if you’re stitching paper; be sure to set your stitch length a bit longer than normal. Otherwise you’re paper will easily tear along the perforations and if the paper is thin, try using some backing like an additional piece of paper or masking tape. If you use tape, you will need to clean your needle afterwards, as it may get sticky. I hope this information will come in handy. Enjoy your new sewing machine and your beautiful new craft room!

@@JessicaGraceDesigns I would also like to add: be careful with your tension on your sewing machine when sewing on paper, or anything really, because if it’s not right the threads may not connect in the middle like they’re supposed and instead they could lay flat, then it would destroy the look. Also different fabrics, threads and even papers will require different tension settings. You can learn more about this from your machine manual and also CZcams videos. Good luck! ♥️

Beautiful job on your craft room. Such an inviting space. As for the Michaels storage cubes, when they had them, I went nuts and have almost every style they carried. Boy am I glad I did while they had them. When they offered 40 and 50% off coupons is when I bought mine. I think Michaels shot themselves in the foot discontinuing these cubes. They were SUPER popular. Now you rarely see 40% off coupons anymore. Their standard now is mostly 20% off. I don't shop there much anymore now.
Thank you. I will say I have bought some of the Tidy cubes and I am impressed. They are slightly larger which is nice and the quality is a bit better. Maybe worth a try, but I do agree about the lack of discounts now a days.

This is an amazing craft room tour. this is about the size of room I will have in my new apartment, and you’ve given me so many ideas! Definitely going to order some CD sleeves for all my ephemera. That seems like a much cheaper solution when compared to Avery Elle or other brands of pouches specifically for scrapbooking.

Love this video and all your organization ideas. I keep my washi on my desk in a acrylic organizer so I see it as I am crafting. I find I use it more frequently now. As to your sniffles, I didn’t notice. Guess I was too wrapped up in the content. I am now a new subscriber!

You can make tags, banners, flags and journal cards with your washi. You have a lot of creative storage container ideas. I wish I had a room to use. I craft at my kitchen table. Also pocket letters are fun to use up some of your washi and stickers and paper you need to use up. Love your videos.

A Cannon Selfie? Sounds interesting, YES! I'm interested in knowing what it is, what is does, and how its a cool thing to have.
It’s a great small format printer. Epson also makes ones called the Picture mate which I now have and love. Both are great options!
I use my washi to decorate the insides of my cards. I don't scrapbook but I've seen people use it to frame photos in layouts. You could also make washi bunting for your layouts. Love your room xx

I love that cart and I agree, I really love those baskets. I want something that can hold my 6x12 sticker sheets horizontally so I would like to know if the ones you found work. I have my thickers vertically and that works but the 6x12 are all different sizes!

Your room is stunning! My craft room is also in my basement and I love it! I use the 12x12 paper holders from Hobby Lobby (you helped me find from your organization video) to store my kits. I love them. I was wondering where you got your project life card holder from? I googled it but didn't see this exact one. Not sure if they still make it.

I got the PL card holder from Michaels, unfortunately it is discontinued however I think Totally Tiffany May make something similar, it’s designed for tools but can certainly be repurposed. A Tea bag organizer might also work. The file folders are my absolute favorite, so glad it was helpful! Happy crafting to you as well ❤️

I really like the way your room is organized. You did a great job. One question - It has been awhile since I watched you and the last time you had an extra large printer/scanner. I think that you had just purchased it. (1500dpi) I can't remember the brand but it started with a C. Did you like it or were there issues? I was thinking about getting a new scanner for copying photos etc. I would appreciate any info. Thanks.

Thank you 😊 the cart is 36” wide, 48” tall and 12” deep. They also may a 3 tier version as well if you need something shorter. It would be perfect for machines or dies, hope it works out 😊
I would recommend moving the washi to your desk.. that way when your doing a project maybe you will use it more..☺️ couse is all the way up there.. 😅

I really liked the closets and entertainment unit I have an issue with painting bare wood however, you can never get that kook of beautiful wood back again no matter how well you seal it I'd rather cover it with contact paper laminate? go for it! it tends to look bad already

Just purchased the Selphy and love it. I thought I saw that some people remove the cartridge before turning it off to prevent running out of color before paper, do you?

I tried printing photos on my copier one time.. they were horrible ...I won't do it again. It would be nice to have something in the future to be able to print photos on ...rather than having to run to CVS or Wal-Mart ..some place to print photos ...thanks for sharing🙂

I had a Cannon Selphy which was a small format, portable printer, maybe that’s what you were thinking of? I am unsure about scanners, sorry :(

Another thing: I could listen to your use of the English language all day! No "aehm" and "like" as other English natives do all the time. Have you ever noticed how often they say, "it's like...". That's so annoying. You don't do that. You speak precisely and clear which makes you so easy to understand for a no native speaker like me. Thanks for that!
