പ്രളയത്തിനു ശേഷവും നമ്മൊളൊന്നും പഠിച്ചില്ല അതുകൊണ്ടല്ലെ വികസനമെന്ന പേരും പറഞ്ഞ് Krail കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ നോക്കിയത് ജനങ്ങ ളുടെ സമയോ ചിതമായ ഇടപെടൽ കൊണ്ട് ആ ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായി. അടുത്ത വികസനം എന്താണാവോ? ജനങ്ങൾ പ്രബുദ്ധരാവുക വികസനത്തെക്കാൾ നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടത് ജീവനും സ്വത്തിനുമുള്ള സുരക്ഷയാണ്. ചുമരുണ്ടെങ്കിലേ ചിത്രമെഴുതാനാകൂ.

പ്രകൃതിയോടിണങ്ങി ജീവിച്ചൊരു കാലമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു കേരളത്തിന്. എന്നു മുതലാണോ തോടുകളും കുളങ്ങളും ഒക്കെ നികത്തി തുടങ്ങിയത്, അതേപോലെ കൃഷി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത് അതോടെ പ്രകൃതിയുടെ സന്തുലിതാവസ്ഥയും മാറിമറിഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി.
എന്റെ ബാല്യത്തിലും ഇതുപോലെ തന്നെ ശക്തമായ മഴയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അന്നൊന്നും മഴ പെയ്തു തുടങ്ങുമ്പോഴേക്കും എവിടെയും വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നില്ല. ജില്ലാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇന്നത്തെ പോലെ അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
അതിനൊക്കെ കാരണം ഇന്നത്തെ പോലെ ആരും തന്നെ പുഴകളിൽ മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തള്ളില്ല്യായിരുന്നു. കലാകാലങ്ങളിൽ പുഴകളിൽ നിന്നും മണൽ വാരുക വഴി പുഴകളിൽ നല്ല ആഴവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തോടുകൾ ധാരാളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു അതേപോലെ ധാരാളം കുളങ്ങളും.

ദയവു ചെയ്തു നമ്മൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടത് ദുരന്ധം വന്നിട്ടല്ല പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടത് ദുരന്ധം വരാധേ നോക്കേണ്ടേ അതെങ്ങനാ ദുരന്ധം വരാൻ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന പോലെ അല്ലേ അല്ലേ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും പ്രവർത്തനം എത്ര ആളുകളാ സഹായിക്കാൻ ഇപ്പം സഹായിക്കണം എന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ മരിക്കണം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ദുരന്ധം വരണം അതാണല്ലോ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ കേരളത്തിന്റെ അവസ്ഥ 🙏🏼🤲🏼😔

മാര്‍ക്കറ്റ്‌ വില കൊടുത്ത് ആളുകളെ പുനരധിവസിപ്പിക്കണം...താമസിക്കാന്‍, പുതിയ നിർമ്മാണം നടത്താൻ ഉള്ള അനുവാദം ഇല്ലെങ്കില്‍ കൃഷി തുടരാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കണം.. option അവര്‍ക്ക് കൊടുക്കുക, കാരണം അവിടെ ജനിച്ച് വളര്‍ന്ന ആളുകൾ ആണ് അവർ നിര്‍ബന്ധമായി കുടി ഇറക്കാനുള്ള പരുപാടി ആകരുത്...ടൂറിസം സർക്കാർ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാണ് വേണ്ടത്.. KTDC പോലെ..കോറി resort ഒന്നും വേണ്ട.. മലയോര ജനത അത് നടത്തുന്നില്ല. Wayanad മാത്രമല്ല ഇടുക്കിയും കണ്ണൂരും ഒക്കെ ഇതിന്റെ പരിധിയില്‍ വരണം..അല്ലാതെ നിയമ നിർമ്മാണം വഴി പശ്ചിമ ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ആളുകളെ ചുമ്മാ നക്കാപ്പിച്ചക്ക് കുടി ഇറക്കി വനം വളർത്തി UNESCO പൈതൃക പദവി നേടി Carbon fund അടിക്കാന്‍ ഈ ദുരന്തം ഉപയോഗിക്കരുത്....
കാരണം മനുഷ്യ വാസം ഇല്ലാത്ത കാലത്തും ഉരുള്‍ പൊട്ടല്‍ ഉണ്ട്.. ഇപ്പൊ ആള് കൂടുതൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് കൊണ്ട്‌ ജീവഹാനി ഉണ്ടായി.. ജീവഹാനി ഇല്ലാത്ത വിലങ്ങാട് ചർച്ചയില്‍ പോലുമില്ല..
