No Land - Interview avec Brendan Perry & Olivier Mellano

- SuperFlux a rencontré Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance) et Olivier Mellano avant la première de la création NO LAND au festival Rio Loco à Toulouse le 18 juin dernier. Les musiciens reviennent sur leur rencontre et la genèse de cette collaboration avec le Bagad Cesson. Durant cette interview avec Maxime Lachaud, Brendan Perry se livre aussi quant aux recherches musicales qu'il développe pour le prochain album de Dead Can Dance.

Brendan Perry est un génie et j'adore son travail. Je suis heureux d'apprendre que Dead Can Dance continura à nous émerveiller avec leurs albums pour un bon moment encore. Et merci pour ce partage pouce bleu!

I'm oddly saddened to learn that Brendan is living in Brittany and not here in Ireland anymore. It was always nice to know that the creator of some of my favourite formative music was living just an hour up the road. Ireland is losing it's cultural heritage thanks to the ushering in of mass corporatism and financialisation. It kinda makes sense that he left the place, good seeing him here, nice project, I hope it travels
I exactly had the opposite experience - i'm often in Brittany and was happily surprised that he would move to this place - since that, a friend of mine has met him and i met olivier mellano, who is a very nice guy !

Oh Brendan, what have you done to this earth?! Dead Can Dance was fantastic,
projects with Hector Zazou, Zoar, Tribute to Tim Buckley were also ok....

Où pourrais-je écouter du No Land ? Depuis le Rio Loco je n'attends que ça !
Pour le moment la seule solution pour écouter No Land est de les (re)voir en concert. Olivier Mellano réfléchit à un enregistrement live, mais rien de certain.
Ce serait top. Je ne connais pas d'autre groupe du même genre. J'attends vos conseils ^^
