It's a laptop compartment.
However, in many cases it will not be stored as it is.
The reason is that there is no cushion there.

Hi, have you ever got your hand on the timbuk2 flight classic messenger? How do they compare?
They are made of different materials.
Flight Classic Messenger uses lighter materials than Classic Messenger.
@@imigram great, just bought the classic messenger small. Although timbuk2 site says it fits up to 13" laptops, my 14" sit just right with a little more spare space
