You can see white adhesive
I'm certain that what you're actually seeing is the hyper-shiny gloss (that this form of adhesive is prone to- though some selections dial the effect down pretty well) reflecting the decent lighting array of a beauty channel to such a degree that the camera and maybe the naked eye reads it as white. I've dusted selfies that I thought had a glare with my flattest blackest shadow on my tiniest liner brush and it tamed the effect without booger gunking it up, imho. I will say I have yanked everything back to square one with too little product and/or applying it with too little regard for the amount pressure on the brush but I can count on one hand the # of times and I've never done it while I'm deliberately focusing on making sure I don't do that. that's my take anyway.
