Unless the level of the middle landing was correct from the beginning which will help to avoid releveling of the second floor. Normally, before fixing the doors the finish floor (FF) level should have been taken my tiler.

Yeah, I am fine with removing the main door as we had it installed for security purposes. Many ppl get their electrical stolen because there are no doors on the house to stop thieves.

Sorry for the unexpected expenses. Because the stairs are raised about 1 foot, the floor level at the second floor will need also to be raised which will occur extra expenses also at the level.
