Appreciate your comments. I'm waiting for garmin to send me a fenix 7 to review lol, I've gotten back to my old mtb trail riding and the watch is proving to be super flexible. It's battery is still great and switch off HR and use ultratrack for gps and it seems to last forever. Stay well my friend ✌️
It´s decent for the price i should say..:) But nothing beats a Fenix ...it´s hard change from Fenix series when you been on that series from first one garmin push out...
Ariozo i would buy it if they updated software on older versions. I want a 6x sapphire but cant bring myself to drop 1200 on something that will be outdated in a year. So im going with instinct for exercise and field ops and apple watch for day to day errands
Best to check out Garmin's website. I haven't used these two features. Area measurement I'm told is for walking a perimeter, I'll try this next time i'm out walking, thanks for watching

Nice informative vid. I just need your advice. My activity is usually is working out and indoor cycling. I seldom travel but i want a reliable smart watch as well. Which do you recommend vivoactive 4 or instinct?
Thank you Paulo, I think potentially the vivo4 may have more features that are better suited for you. But in any case have a look on Garmin's website and compare the features you feel are best. The instinct is very "outdoors" biased but still has great training features.
Hi, Informative and persuasive review! As an 81 year old man, I am no longer running about or in the wilds.I like to play with watches and require a few practical features, compass etc. I was looking at the Amazfit T-Rex. In your experience what would you recommend, one of these two or something else? Many thanks.
Hi Terry, I haven't used the amazfit, but Garmin have big support in terms of the activities and personally I love this device. It's super handy and does so much. Age is just a number, plus it has walking modes and track me.
@@AlphaPews Hi, I did get the Amazfit T-Rex and it is fine but not as many features and flexibility as Garmin Instinct. Based primarily on your review, supported by some others, I cannot resist any longer, so am I going to buy one. Many thanks for responding to my questions and keep up the good work. I am ex military and could of done with this in the Malayan jungle in the late 50s, particularly the stress monitor!
I still love my watch, unless garmin does a serious upgrade for the instinct (which I doubt, due to the fenix model line) its going to be hard to get it off my wrist. Appreciate your kind words - hope your doing ok buddy. Be safe out there. If you get stuck with the watch drop me a dm on instagram. I'll try to help.
Thanks for the review sir, I’ve been on the fence with this watch for a while now. Here’s a question, the Garmin site here in US has the tactical priced the same as the Instinct itself. Being an owner of several G’s, I like the looks, layout, size etc.. With no price difference, which model would you choose?
I won't personally go for the tacitcal unless you need the jumpmaster option, plus if your using for tactical use. I have a 601 which has jumpmaster, should I ever need that option.
@@AlphaPews hi, i have a plan to buy instinct too.. can you tell me when you charge it with powerbank during the hiking, it will stop your tracking or not?
I don't believe it will charge on the go and track at the same time. I never tried this. But if you were planning a multi day hike where weight is an issue. You can use the ultratrak mode and the battery lasts weeks.
I've seen them, nice looking and chunky. I think personally I prefer something like a fenix 6x pro but with the sapphire screen. All in all, Garmin are the leaders in the market I feel. So many good devices.
Hi Alpha, Thank you for the review. between Garmin foretrex 601 and Garmin Instinct which one would you suggest for hiking/trekking in extreme conditions( Mountaineering, dog Sledding and polar expeditions )
Yo bro, I was deciding between this instinct and a 245, but you dropped some serious info on this one, best breakdown review I've seen on the instinct, and I've been watching videos in languages I don't even understand, your perspective and similar to was I'm needing it for, really great video, got one question for you though, can I set the moon phase as a widget or data on the home screen?
From watching some of your other videos, I'd say we're pretty much in the same page in regards to activities, been using Casio Protrek,WSD F20, but battery life doesn't provide enough, also heart rate has become a needed feature for me, broke 50 years not so long ago, so gotta keep an eye, but yeah wanting your video again I've pretty much decided on the Instinct, appreciate it bro
Alpha Pewpew I have both gbd h1000 and gbd 100. I believe it lacks badly and people are pumping it up. I mean the h1000 is awful. Nothing works right on it. The menu layout odd and notifications alert are weak. You can hardly feel vibration and will miss it if you are busy. I don’t think a software update would fix any major issues it has. My garmin blows the h1000 out the water. I do think the gbd 100 is a better buy but the h1000 is a good looking watch. Try it you will see. H1000 is nothing but looks.
@@AlphaPews okay 😄 I recently browsed through Shopee but I was surprised when the seller said Instinct cannot record gps coordinates. My company has been using Garmin 64s but the on/off button is already damaged & I'm looking for an alternative to record my tracks & waypoints during site assessment
What an amazing review sir thank you! I've been really interested in this watch and you explained so well and gave tricks and how things work on the watch. By the way, it says on there website if you have a android you can reply to texts!!! Edit: I looked on there website again and it says if you have iOS 11 or later you can reply.
When you got to the "Tactical" mode you said that you love using it for airsoft and that you would get back to it shortly. I never saw you get back to it. How is that mode functional? Thanks!
Hi, it's set to display different screens including a compass and other displays, including a map. So if your on a milsim it's very useful. All depends how you wish to use it. If you set waypoints during a deployment, you can track them, and all sorts. It's a very powerful navigation tool.
Hi Stuart, thank you, I'm told it does but to be 100% sure check on Garmin's website. I personally use the garmin connect app, which has been great. Over a year with no issues and cross platform, both iOS and Android
Yes it does - via the Garmin Connect app - you pair your watch with the app and allow it permission to sync the data. G Shock GBD-H1000 claims to do the same but mine didn’t - and the G Shock Move app is awful. Rushed just like the watch.
I'd go.6x,.apple watches are not as robust. But the Apple watch will have tonnes of everyday features. Depends on what your main end us is daily wear or specialist
Alpha Pewpew only thing stopping me from 6x is Garmin doesnt offer software updates for older models so ive heard. So im leaning toward Instinct for field ops and trail running and a apple watch for my everyday errands. Thanks for the review🙏
It's shock proof, I've personally done some mad things wearing mine. Although I've heard that a pneumatic jack and this kind of shock is very good at destroying any kind of watch. This watch has a mil-810G rating
I'm a fire fighter and I work construction,1st. Nothing beats a 75 dollar Gshock but yes I wear my Garmin everyday to either job. But I like my gshock on the jobsite just so my Garmin doesn't get as dirty.
lovely watch. does it works as a standalone weather prediction? some watches with barometer does show weather prediction, but this garmin seems like the weather is took from the phone internet prediction? or maybe it also gives 24h prediction based on barometer data?
Hi, yep it has an internal baro and also a tracking graph with storm alerts. It can also link to a smartphone for weather data. Myself I prefer to use it for the normal Barometer and it's fairly accurate from what I can tell. It uses GPS to sync the height above sea level to determine the correct pressure.
Hi, the way it's calulated the best method is to calibrate it at a known altitude. E.g. using a trig point. Otherwise it's a useful guide. Most barometers have a level of inaccuracy so it's expected. But use the GPS, find the height and it won't be too far wrong. Like I say, it's a guide. Check on the Garmin FAQ for the specs of the barometer
Did the altimeter adjust your altitude on a regular basis, ie could you see it change? Think I have a faulty one, or am I missing something? Mine doesn't change unless I recalibrate it all the time.
Depends on activity. It's a joint calibration of GPS and barometer. But if your not using GPS but walking around on a relative flat or even area, it won't change much. Check that the port is clean from debris. There is some online help for this
Hi, awesome user name. So the next gen are the solar Instinct watches. I'm not aware of another gen. Apart from the fenix watches but they are very pricy. So if you can get a solar at a good price, I'd say that one. But just depends on if the solar charging will benefit you, as you have to charge it still once your home or back at camp. Battery life is excellent on this device so its not a deal breaker for me. Hope this helps. Oh and I'm doing a 1K giveaway just for subscribers to say thanks, who knows you could win. 🎉😁
I was going to get that watch, but, I went with the Suunto Core military, and the casio rangeman 9400, because the rangeman is and ABC watch that's solar powered and indestructible for a SHTF scenario, and doesn't give off any signals. The Suunto Core is the same in that it is a smart watch that doesn't give off any signals either., has the ABC features, also, I like that it takes the same batteries that my red dot sight takes on my AR and that battery lasts about a year and it only costs $1 so I stocked up on them. the Garmin Instinct watch can be tracked from the gps and if you are going off the grid that would cause a problem because you could be located by an enemy
Honestly if the GPS is off not tracking is possible. I love casio G shocks they are my old go to. But having nav options on wrist for those night nav where u have no clear features or landmarks or a grid to collect gear. I can only see the benefits
Garmin to both your questions but it is personal preference, I own the solar version and a solar G-Shock, both are amazing watches but completely different tools
Hey, honestly for the GPS garmin is king. But proven absolute toughness has to be GShock. The Instinct line of garmin smartwatches is really solid. I made a video on it. Standby for the newest one too.
Does anyone find the calories read as burned during exercise incorrect or off? I’ve had the garmin instinct for 2 days now, and the calories seem to be reading pretty low (compared to my previous Apple Watch). I’m an experienced weight lifter / bodybuilder, 180lbs around 15% BF. When I trained today, for 90 minutes, my calories burned read 490, when on Apple Watch, would read around 750-800 (which seems more accurate. HR was pretty consistent between 100-150. I’ve only used the strength training tracker so far. I never entered any reps or anything done, as I track that with my log book. I just want something really to track my heart rate, calories burned, and time. Maybe the Apple Watch could be wrong, but when I inputted these stats into a calorie burned calculation, given my stats, it said my estimated calories burned were pretty bang on to the Apple Watch. Anyways, I’ll leave this at that. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing anything similar, or if there’s certain settings I can adjust to get a more accurate reading (p.s I already have my stats entered into garmin connect) Thanks
Hi Phil, not been too reliant on the calories function but if you use it as a guide and watch you macros, you'll be more accurate. Maybe try and check your stride length as that might be too low for walking and running. So that could make it read low
The 245 looks like a nice watch, focused on running more I suspect. The instinct is rugged and aimed at the outdoors market. So really all depends what your end use is, although I do use my instinct for fitness too-just doesnt have v02 max or the colour screen. I do like the look of the 245. Looks smart.
I don't believe so. I suspect that it could work but Garmin have a good specific watch, so I think that's why the golfing option isn't present. But double check the website as I could be wrong-i can't see the option on my watch 👍
Yup, it's under my day. Also shows up under last sport section. It a very versatile device, great training tool. But it doesn't have Vo2max function which isn't important for me. It does have HR zones and even an interval training function
@@AlphaPews Thanks for the reply. Thats good to know, im thinking about getting this watch for biking and hiking . Hows the gps does it record your trips nicely?
GPS is great. You have a few options, normal GPS, GPS+glonass, GPS+Galileo. There is also ultratrack. If you use ultra track and turn off notifications the battery life is over 20 days! It's a slick device. But it does so much. I've recently been using mine for interval training. It's super handy. Kinda like a Swiss army knife 🤟
I need help. I need a watch that can take an absolutely battering but can last a while in about -30. Ideally it could do all the stuff this does as I’d use it for training and whatnot but if not I’m ok with buying another watch. Need a training watch that can handle mud and has a heart rate monitor. It doesn’t really need anything else and the cold one really just needs date and time but like I said needs to be able to handle working in Helheim.
Hello mate. I’m in the army and currently use the Fenix 5x sapphire, it’s a bit big and I’m thinking about changing to the instinct tactical. Do you think I should change up or stay with the fenix? Thank you.
Hi mate, personally I've used the instinct for some time now and I don't believe there are added benefits over the standard or even the solar versions for the extra money. The fenix is a nice unit but I hear what you are saying about size. I do think the instinct is a perfect size. I take it you want the navigation features? as the instinct is more basic than the fenix series in terms of smart watch capabilities. If it were me..I'd stick with the fenix and consider something like a Garmin 601. I've got a video on that also. The 601 is a navigation beast, great battery life and super clean screen.
@@AlphaPews thanks for getting back to me so quick mate. Yano that’s crazy haha, I was actually thinking about getting the 601 instead of changing my watch. Yeah i basically want something for navigation, my fenix is amazing so I don’t know why I want something else. But I definitely look into the 601 as having something like that especially on ops would be a great addition.
Sorry to hijack your thread mate, I had a 401 that got swiped and was leaning more towards getting one of these smartwatch gps. Just wanting to know if I'm in the field and find a grid i want to go to on a map can i pop the grid into the instinct or fenix and it will give me a bearing to said grid? Or do i need to pair it with computers/apps etc? Cheers.
Hi Michael, at the time of the video, garmin hadn't updated the firmware to include iOS, but they have rectified this. Android had full support from the start. I'm still wearing this watch daily and its awesome. The auto reply is cool, especially if its raining and you want to send a quick "i'll call you back" reply. Take care.
I'd happily review it. But the instinct regular has all same features except jumpmaster. So I wont be buying one, as the regular version is very good an fit for purpose.
@@spitfirecrusader6546 Ah cool. You can disable tracking. In effect the device only tracks steps/heart rate not location via GPS unless doing an activity. However I expect the stealth option makes it quick and easy? Appreciate the comments 👍 and off grid, agree 😉

This is nice. When they announced this watch, I just brought Garmin Forerunner 645... Otherwise I would get this instead.
😀
Gonna be purchasing a sunburst yellow one next week
The coloured ones are legit awesome 🤟
Great review, thank you, made my mind & great hacks.
Thanks buddy glad to help, be safe
Watching this on my Garmin Instinct Watch
officergonzalez1985 That’s great. Probably an enjoyable experience 😂
Yeasss
It´s decent for the price i should say..:)
But nothing beats a Fenix ...it´s hard change from Fenix series when you been on that series from first one garmin push out...
Ariozo i would buy it if they updated software on older versions. I want a 6x sapphire but cant bring myself to drop 1200 on something that will be outdated in a year. So im going with instinct for exercise and field ops and apple watch for day to day errands
wise words
Good review. Thanks. Do you know how the functions "Area Measurement", and "XERO" works ?
Best to check out Garmin's website. I haven't used these two features. Area measurement I'm told is for walking a perimeter, I'll try this next time i'm out walking, thanks for watching
Great review! I am thinking of buying a watch as I am into hiking these days. I was thinking of buying the fenix 6x but then i saw i bit of a promo on my local store for the instinct. Do yoymu think i should buy it or should i go for the fenix 6x instead?
Hi, the 6x has more advanced features but the instinct offers real value and performance. Be safe
Age = experience.
How did you get on Terry?
@@AlphaPews Hi, I did get the Amazfit T-Rex and it is fine but not as many features and flexibility as Garmin Instinct. Based primarily on your review, supported by some others, I cannot resist any longer, so am I going to buy one. Many thanks for responding to my questions and keep up the good work. I am ex military and could of done with this in the Malayan jungle in the late 50s, particularly the stress monitor!
Anytime Terry, be safe mate.
Great review. Mine is on the way 👍
I still love my watch, unless garmin does a serious upgrade for the instinct (which I doubt, due to the fenix model line) its going to be hard to get it off my wrist.
Appreciate you reaching out 🤟
But...for no price difference! Go tactical
@@AlphaPews tactical is good for the night vision and stealth mode too
$200USD now - you cant beat it.
The new Solar Instinct is out now for $400. Not sure if solar is worth Double.
Grab your instinct and buy a usb power bank. Problem solved
I do this on multi day hikes and longer trips
@@AlphaPews hi, i have a plan to buy instinct too.. can you tell me when you charge it with powerbank during the hiking, it will stop your tracking or not?
Usually when I get to camp, I just use a usb power bank. But the battery is very good so it doesn't need to be daily charged.
I don't believe it will charge on the go and track at the same time. I never tried this. But if you were planning a multi day hike where weight is an issue. You can use the ultratrak mode and the battery lasts weeks.
I’ve heard lots of good stuff about the Garmin Tactix Charlie also
I've seen them, nice looking and chunky. I think personally I prefer something like a fenix 6x pro but with the sapphire screen. All in all, Garmin are the leaders in the market I feel. So many good devices.
I have the Tactix Charlie, love it! I considered the instinct first but decided to get the TC instead of the instinct because it lacked connect IQ
Great video!!!! Very thorough. I've placed my order:)
Glad to help
Absolutely love mine

Good to meet you buddy. Hit me up on insta if you have any questions, happy to help ya
Outstanding review
Really appreciate your kind words
Great in-depth tutorial! That Baro was tumbling throughout the video, does it have a storm alarm?
It does and you can set the rate for the alarm too
I also shortlisted the Amazfit t-Rex what do you think of that?
Actually good
Thank you 👍
Pretty handy review.
Hi Alpha, Thank you for the review. between Garmin foretrex 601 and Garmin Instinct which one would you suggest for hiking/trekking in extreme conditions( Mountaineering, dog Sledding and polar expeditions )
For extreme 601, but I always have both for redundancy
@@AlphaPews Thank You for answering my query.
Hi buddy, moon phase yes! Hit me up on Instagram and I will show you @alpha_pewpew
I really appreciate your comments and thank you
Twitter?
No Twitter I'm afraid. What's your usual hobbies activities? I see the Instinct filling the gap between a g shock and a robust smart watch.
Awesome, I love mine, be hard to get it off me 😉
Best smart watch I’ve had but now I have Casios gbd 100.
I need to test the Casio to see how it stacks up
Alpha Pewpew I have both gbd h1000 and gbd 100.
Its a shame really, Casio make awesome G Shocks, but they seem to lacking in the GPS market. They got big boots to fill.
Can Instinct record waypoints/tracks sir? Really wanna find a watch to use during site visit 🙏🏻
Yup, you can even measure an area too
It's awesome for that
@@AlphaPews okay 😄 I recently browsed through Shopee but I was surprised when the seller said Instinct cannot record gps coordinates. My company has been using Garmin 64s but the on/off button is already damaged & I'm looking for an alternative to record my tracks & waypoints during site assessment
Should be perfect
EXCELLENT JOB WELL DONE ...
Thank you so much 😀
Just order it my s3 gear is not for hard hiking
Awesome choice
@@AlphaPews i have it now im in my tent tweaking it i love it so mutch !

Casio GW-M5600 it's a beast of a watch G Shock

I have both for my work. Polizia UK 💙 Grazie mille, mi sorella
What an amazing review sir thank you! I've been really interested in this watch and you explained so well and gave tricks and how things work on the watch. By the way, it says on there website if you have a android you can reply to texts!!!
Edit: I looked on there website again and it says if you have iOS 11 or later you can reply.
Thank you 🤟 indeed if Android you can reply using pre defined txt responses. It's a great feature. Glad they have added this for ios
@@AlphaPews Thank you sir.
@@AlphaPews so for bushcraft/ asg milsim nerd this is good navigation tool correct ?
Great review mate does this watch connect to Strava?
Hi Stuart, thank you, I'm told it does but to be 100% sure check on Garmin's website. I personally use the garmin connect app, which has been great. Over a year with no issues and cross platform, both iOS and Android
@@AlphaPews thanks for your reply mate....will have a look 👍
Yes it does - via the Garmin Connect app - you pair your watch with the app and allow it permission to sync the data. G Shock GBD-H1000 claims to do the same but mine didn’t - and the G Shock Move app is awful. Rushed just like the watch.
Is there a timer /stop watch functionality? I use this on my Timex watch constantly when I'm cooking =D
Yes, both.
Omg
Should i buy this for exercise and field ops, along with an apple watch for day to day errands or should i just go solely with fenix 6x sapphire?
You can wear this all day.
Dan Goodson doesnt offer any apps or music for running or all the great first world stuff on fenix 6x or apple watch
I love the instinct, it's really simple and robust. Shock rated good battery life 👊
Awesome review mate
Thank you sir
Great review. 👍
Glad you liked it
Since it’s tactical, would you recommend it could withstand a construction job?
It's shock proof, I've personally done some mad things wearing mine.
Although I've heard that a pneumatic jack and this kind of shock is very good at destroying any kind of watch. This watch has a mil-810G rating
I'm a fire fighter and I work construction,1st. Nothing beats a 75 dollar Gshock but yes I wear my Garmin everyday to either job.
But I like my gshock on the jobsite just so my Garmin doesn't get as dirty.
very nice and informative
Thank you 😉 glad I can help.
lovely watch. does it works as a standalone weather prediction? some watches with barometer does show weather prediction, but this garmin seems like the weather is took from the phone internet prediction? or maybe it also gives 24h prediction based on barometer data?
Hi, yep it has an internal baro and also a tracking graph with storm alerts. It can also link to a smartphone for weather data. Myself I prefer to use it for the normal Barometer and it's fairly accurate from what I can tell. It uses GPS to sync the height above sea level to determine the correct pressure.
Tracks 6, 12 ,24 &48 HR graphs. Great for predicting rain etc
Hi, have you (or anyone reading this comment) noticed any inaccuracies with the barometer? If so, were you able to fix it, and how?
Hi, the way it's calulated the best method is to calibrate it at a known altitude. E.g. using a trig point. Otherwise it's a useful guide. Most barometers have a level of inaccuracy so it's expected. But use the GPS, find the height and it won't be too far wrong. Like I say, it's a guide. Check on the Garmin FAQ for the specs of the barometer
@@AlphaPews thank you so much!
There is some online help for this
Alpha Pewpew thanks man. I figured as much, that maybe a few hundred feet won’t make a difference. Seen all the advice, will try it out. Thanks again
It comes factory set to change with barometer which makes it jump a lot. Turn that off. Solved the issues I had with altimeter
Hi alpha Pews...i'am looking to buy this watch so i am doing my homework....do i wait for the next Gen ? or just get this one...
I've got the Instinct 1 and that watch took a beating and bruising for year. Doesn't show a single scratch.
I've had both and the mk1 is still great. They are definitely solid and just work.
Thanks for the video! Was this the Instinct or the Instinct Tactical Version? I don't know what the difference is between the 2?
instinct, if it were my money, get the normal instinct. very happy with mine.

Yup, I use mine with Garmin connect with HR zone. Inc resting HR. It doesn't do VO2max though.
@@AlphaPews thanks bro for the answer
Love mine, great review! 👍
Appreciate it buddy.
What do you think its better, garmin or g-shock? And what would a militar prefer?
Just wondering if anyone is experiencing anything similar, or if there’s certain settings I can adjust to get a more accurate reading (p.s I already have my stats entered into garmin connect)
Thanks
Hi Phil, not been too reliant on the calories function but if you use it as a guide and watch you macros, you'll be more accurate. Maybe try and check your stride length as that might be too low for walking and running. So that could make it read low
Great review! Does it come with the sleep monitorig?
Thank you 🤟 yep it does your sleep too. Not bad at all.
Just purchased a Garmin 245. Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the instinct instead.
The 245 looks like a nice watch, focused on running more I suspect. The instinct is rugged and
aimed at the outdoors market. So really all depends what your end use is, although I do use my instinct for fitness too-just doesnt have v02 max or the colour screen. I do like the look of the 245. Looks smart.
Thank you for watching bro 🙂
@@AlphaPews It was a great review. 👍🏻
Hello. Can i start Run training and open timer or stopwatch without losing GPS distance counting ?
Hi, as soon as you start a running the GPS, timer etc all work. The information provided is really great
Can you get the golf feature on this watch
I don't believe so. I suspect that it could work but Garmin have a good specific watch, so I think that's why the golfing option isn't present. But double check the website as I could be wrong-i can't see the option on my watch 👍
Does it have always on display?
It does indeed. But the battery life is very good

Yup, it's under my day. Also shows up under last sport section. It a very versatile device, great training tool. But it doesn't have Vo2max function which isn't important for me. It does have HR zones and even an interval training function
How are you liking the watch? Is it still holding up?
It's still great! Dean. I wear it most days and always when I'm out in nature
Also, it's at a really good price point!
Always when I see the displays of the Garmin instinct I think of the year 1991
Don't tell Casio you said that, you'll be hunted by them lol
With the calories setting do you input your age, height, weight, inseam? Or is it just generic? Thank you.
You can adjust in the Garmin connect app, plus the HR is used to fine tune calories burnt
Mate is there a back light for nighttime?
Yup, also automatically activated either wrist orientation or button activation
As far as the watch recieving a text, does it have to be close to your phone to receive it?
The range is very good I find. Easily 5m for me maybe more
I need help.
It's milspec and I'd say it's at least g shock tough, but milspec 810G rating off the top of my head
The tactical version has airborne jump master for skydiving
Thanks for reaching out, 🤟
@@AlphaPews thanks for getting back to me so quick mate. Yano that’s crazy haha, I was actually thinking about getting the 601 instead of changing my watch. Yeah i basically want something for navigation, my fenix is amazing so I don’t know why I want something else. But I definitely look into the 601 as having something like that especially on ops would be a great addition.
My pleasure, happy to help 👍
Sorry to hijack your thread mate, I had a 401 that got swiped and was leaning more towards getting one of these smartwatch gps. Just wanting to know if I'm in the field and find a grid i want to go to on a map can i pop the grid into the instinct or fenix and it will give me a bearing to said grid? Or do i need to pair it with computers/apps etc? Cheers.
Wondering about ios Health Sync; Is it going well..?
I haven't used it but worth checking on Apple website for compatibility

Thanks, just picked it up and very impressed by it
How to remove the vibration? Thanks
Hi, DM me via Instagram and I'll send you a video of how to do it. It's found under the settings menu with sounds. 🤟
When you say you cant reply is that because you have a iPhone ..as fare i see from others rewiews there is a option to send preloaded text messages.?
Hi Michael, at the time of the video, garmin hadn't updated the firmware to include iOS, but they have rectified this. Android had full support from the start. I'm still wearing this watch daily and its awesome. The auto reply is cool, especially if its raining and you want to send a quick "i'll call you back" reply. Take care.
Can it tell you tides? Important stuff for sailing.
No sir, Garmin have a sailing watch that is purpose built, but this does have man overboard function 🤟
Will you be getting the Instict Tactical watch?
I'd happily review it. But the instinct regular has all same features except jumpmaster. So I wont be buying one, as the regular version is very good an fit for purpose.
