  • Enchanted Loop Trail - This is a Blue Rated trail per Trailforks. Don't let the ratings fool you though, this is a fun trail. Its a good introduction if you plan on hitting the "upper" trails. Note that there are few hiker and cyclist that climbs up this trail. I only got lucky on this day because I started very early but I have seen kids and seniors hiking up this trail, busy at around 11-2pm.
Look ahead before dropping in on some of those drops because some are pretty deep and if you are new and on an XC bike, you may want to scope it out first before dropping or rolling.
ebikes are allowed on this trail and in Wilder Ranch.

Question bro, I have this same exact bike in the S build. I love the bike but I find the rear suspension to feel a little bit harsh if that makes any sense. What did you set your PSI too and what’s your weight? Did you do any mods like the MegNeg or is your suspension completely stock ? Any input would help thanks man.

Hey Man, My rear shock is stock with stock tokens but my fork has Ultimate Lyrik internals (RC2 damper). I hover around 145-148 lbs but my riding weight is around 160 lbs.
Shock: 176 psi (Rebound 2-3 from slow)
Fork: 80 psi (Rebound 11-14 from slow)
I know what you mean about the rear being harsh especially for me since I am coming from Specialized Horst-Link/FSR. The FSR just gobbles all of those small chattery stuff whether you’re sitting and spinning or going down the hill at speed. The Heckler sits high in its travel that you can feel every bit of those irregularities on the trail, but I use that as an advantage to ‘float’ over those chattery stuff. Now, if the trail has rocks or roots that are about baby size heads and you’re coming in at a pretty decent speed DH, this is where the VPP feels a lot better than the FSR. On multiple hits, the rear end recovers faster vs FSR. The FSR tends to get hung up like I have too much rebound in the rear shock but any less, the bike feels like a pogo stick. The VPP would just take on those roots/rocks and does it quietly. Also on drops and jumps (around 3 ft?), the VPP travel feels bottomless. The FSR feels like I use up most of the travel on every hits I do.
I’m still going to play around with my suspension setup especially the rear. My plan is to add (1) token and lessening the psi by 2-3 for both fork and shock.

Have the S build 29er. I'm 215 riding weight, 250 rear shock, stock token. feels great.

Right? I mean, I have 150mm travel trail bikes too but this feels like a short travel enduro bike. I can't wait to ride it again! 😁👍

have you ever tried the oldest Heckler 2020?...what about the Bullit?
would like to have some feedback on these bikes vs new heckler.
    thanks;)

Unfortunately I haven’t. I did however demo’d the 2019 Bronson which had the same suspension feel as the 2020 Heckler. The Bronson to me, feels like it sits deep in its travel. Its not the bike that I would consider, “playful” or “poppy”. To me, that bike felt like a plow bike. Its stuck to the ground and depending on your preference of riding and where you ride, the bike can be good or bad. For my style of riding, I chose the 2019 Stumpjumper 27.5 over the 2019 Bronson because it had more pedaling platform and it sits high in its travel (with Rockshox Deluxe shock, with Fox shock, it felt like the Bonson. It sat deep in its travel) that it had a lot of “pop” to it which feels the same as the current Heckler.
No experience with the Bullit or the similar bike, the Nomad. Sorry.

I have the 22 Bullit, with the best of the best components on it, I’ve never smiled doing something so much in my life, the bike is a blast, and when they say the bullit will eat anything in its path, it really does with ease.
