- While browsing the hot courses section of Mario Maker 2, I stumbled across an account that seemed to want to quit making levels in the game. I decided as a final farewell that I wanted to try and get the world record on all their levels.

I’ve made like 30 levels (I stopped at around august because I got too busy) and I can see why no one really played, these levels are really clever

I lost 800+ maker points in the span of 1 year, and I spend so much time on my levels just to get like 7 plays and nothing else

That was strangely motivating.
Well the game isnt getting updates so I can understand why he wants to quit. I actually stumbled upon a similar account, I didnt get if the person was a Twitch streamer or something but in one of her levels it said "You people made me quit SMM2" or smth like that and everyone commented on the level saying "Pls stay" etc. I'll actually try to find the MAKER ID of this person and edit it in here

You will notice that i learned from level to level. I wouldnt recommend playing spin party and 0.00% because they are juts bad. The very first one has a softlock if you dont take damage twice at first cp. The best ones are peobably the newest one and the one called the key is key, but i think they all are pretty good. (Not extrem good tho bc sometimes I hust wanted to be done with the level and then just finished it somehow)

People play new levels I make but when I started out at feb 16 2021 no one played those. I have old levels with 0 plays but new with ten. I want them to see my growth :( maybe I should comment.
I can kinda relate to this. I only had like 3 subs along 3 months and nothing else. So I told myself to grind and to make better content. So I got 6 in around 6 days! Keep your grind on peeps 😁

Being easy is key to popularity. I have "hard" (about as hard as original SMW levels) and easy levels, and by far the easy levels dominate my notifications.

I made a level that took me forever to make and clear check and it’s sitting at like 13 plays and 4 likes. Sure it’s disheartening to see that the thing I worked hard on didn’t get as popular as I would like but my friend play tested it and loves it so much, and makes it worth the time and effort

I quit mm2. I'd spend hours and hours making fluid/non janky kizo ish levels. Then people would play them and boo them instantly because they are not easy auto trash. Sure I have a few that had a few thousand likes but the majority were lost levels because of Nintendos garbage rating system

I try to make hard levels as well, but I'm sure they aren't as good as yours. Mine still get booed after one or two tries from each person, and some of them aren't even that hard!

Y'know I'm sort of in the same predicament as this person, I actually do have to leave super mario maker 2, however my reasons for leaving are probably more understandable. 1. I have to leave because I'm really busy with school and trying to learn how to drive. 2. When you make levels in SMM2, you have to have a lot of creativity, knowledge, and imagination, and I have none of that. 3. Whenever a new mario game comes out, or a port of some kind. I will always play it, and if it has good online, I will play it. Before you say it, no I'm not posting this comment purely for panga to see and get attention, I'm posting this to say that if you're not popular, you don't have to quit.
