I worked at Schlotzskys for 6 years while i was in high school and college and i still live their food. Honestly the soup is ok its the sammys and pizza that ate the bangers. Love the Fiesta chicken sammy.
Black pepper chips are my favorite. Been eating at Schlotskys since I was a kid. My mom and I would eat at their original location in Austin. All they had was a 10 inch original cut into 4ths and served on a paper plate. You could get a whole sandwich or a half. One type. Fond memories

Schlotsky’s was my go eatery in my 20s during my college days! Their smoked turkey on dark rye with spicy mustard with a Sam Adams Boston lager were the perfect combo. I still go there once in a blue moon. It’s still delicious.
I wonder if this place is like Souper Salad and Bay State Chowda Co. both where I used to work...all the soups, chili's and chowders came in a plastic bag and were heated up daily. Maybe thats how they can have one item with ground beef?

I used to stop there years ago when I lived in a different city, they eventually closed that location, it was disappointing because I liked them, I would always get their veggie sandwich and iced tea before work, they had the best iced tea in town. It was so funny one day I was standing there getting my tea and the friendly, outgoing manager, who was busily chatting with customers, said that exact thing.
Schlotztsky’s is the bomb for sandwiches! In fact, we had Schlotzsky’s for dinner last night!! But, we usually go through the drive thru and just get our regular order of sandwiches. Didn’t even know they had soup. Guess we’ll read the menu next time!! 😂🤷♀️

They don’t shave the meat anymore in my locations. And most locations are now franchise. I have one corporate and they don’t taste the same as they did 20 years ago here. The flavor is lacking now. And these franchises here are owned by the same family they cheaped out for rid of the secret garlic sauce “to save money” it’s just not the same ANDDDDD they don’t give out their homemade full pickles. Cuz they don’t make them themselves anymore. As a child this was the only thing I would eat I still get so excited about this place but it isn’t nearly as good as it was in the 90s

That used to be my favorite hungover meal after staying up all night drinking and gambling. I knew it was $13 one way from the hotel to the deli.
