- Join @FranticMatty and @EndoSkull as they venture out in their uboat to take on the enemy convoy thats passing by. It wont be too easy though, those ships have guns and WILL be shooting back.

You actually did pretty good despite losing a few U-boats. In reality you'd had a team and used Wolfpack techniques.

Love how you dived only once in a submarine. Still, naval battles would be tons of fun in this game!
Most times U-Boats attacked on the surface. They were not built for underwater combat, although the first attacks were commonly done underwater before they would surface.
Love those mulitplayer videos, they are such an masterpiece, keep it up Frantic!
Would love to see the destroyer you made used for something like this. I'm sure Endo can help you get the engines working (not exploding).

I reckon that the torpedoes are sonar-guided, causing them to aim for the sound of the engine.
But it would be passive sonar guided and I never saw a torpedo passive sonar guided
@@minoupower554 Stormworks guidance is Active only, passive or Semi-Active does not exist in this game, you could probably do some stuff with Lua but it'd be a mimicry.
Stormworks also doesn't simulate Radar and Sonar properly (presumably the already bad engine would become suicidal under the pressure), it instead works on simple math where there is a detection range, and if something is within that range while also having enough "mass" (Distance*0.1), it will register as a "target".
This explanation is based on Radar, as I have not yet touched Sonar.

Dude how the actual hell is your game even going to smooth? like why doesn't it lag? for me it would go in 1fps if i had that many ships spawned in...

1) It's a WW2 sub, albeit a miniaturized version
2) They're WW2 cargo ships

@@southernwolfgaming Snorkel? And type II is a WW2 sub. It's a coastal submarine that was very useful. Also what snorkel? That's a periscope.. Snorkels didn't even exist in WW1.. Do YOUR research.
