Uganda farmers earn income from making crafts from banana fibre

  • In Uganda, a vocational centre is helping farmers earn extra income from banana stems that would otherwise be left to rot on farms. Students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, are also taught how to earn a living from crafts made out of banana fibre CGTN'S Isabel Nakirya reports.

    Uganda u are doing great, Mbessa Fondom in Cameroon will surely learn a lot from you bc we got bananas stems everywhere in the Fondom.

    As kids growing up in Uganda,we made dolls out of this ,my parents could afford plastic ones but i prefered this because we had a whole family and if a limb broke it was replaceable 😂.
