I haven't watched 2 and 3 yet, I just skipped ahead to see your review and saw the falling off the building scene. The director/ writer . Was a stunt, fighting choreography guy , his pitch was to do incredible fights / stunts and built a movie around them , and he learned to direct and write. He got a crew from great people he worked with over the years. .

Fun Fact: Zero, the assassin who was the Ninja leader fanboi that John killed with the sword near the end, was played by Mark Dacascos. Mark was "The Chairman" in Food Network's "Iron Chef America" and is a martial arts champion.
I'm really glad that you picked up on the fact that Winston wasn't trying to kill John but just got him to back up to a certain place on the roof,yes, it was hit and miss that John would survive the fall,it was a chance that they all took but it worked.I believe Halle trained for about 6 months with the dogs so they would follow her commands plus all the gun training she went through for this movie...Amazing.
They are like war dogs. ( dogs of war ) Shakespeare. But people used to train dogs to watch their back in war . Like maximus in gladiator. ( bit these are the best dogs ever)
Winston gave an out that the Adjudicator would believe at the time (on the roof). Otherwise she would have to kill (or order to kill) John herself right there.
That was a really fun reaction. I tried to look away during the eyeball/knife scene but looked back to see if it was over and still caught it.

Michelle cracks me up. I think she says "you should have walked away" or "you should have left him alone" numerous times in all of these John Wick videos. SHE GETS IT! First, I really enjoy your channel, and I'm glad I found it.
The fall was a series of falls off the building. I saw another CZcams channel break down the science of it, and they said a normal fit man would have about a 50% chance of surviving that fall. So, not the most unbelievable part of the movie if you break it down and analyze it.

That knife fight scene you both love at 7:37, if you think about it, the view point kept changing from one end of the isle to the other. meaning they had to film this probably more than twice to show the view from both ends. To keep track of the actors in such a chaotic scene must have been an incredible chore for the "Continuity" staff and crew. Calories consumed by everyone must have been beyond belief. 3 cheers for the unsung heroes.............the Catering team.

Their is a theory that Winston tried to make it look like John Wick got killed so he can have a free life again because Winston didn't shoot John in the head when he had the perfect chance and he probably knew that his suit is bullet proof. Just a theory until the 4th movie comes out.

Nerd Notice: John's precise shot placement on the Doctor, his stabbing Cassian in the aorta in JW2, and his knife fight with Viggo in JW, all indicate that John has keen knowledge of human anatomy.
The John Wick films are great popcorn flicks and are so much fun to watch. My favorite scenes in John Wick 3 were the knife fight and the dogs taking down literally everyone. My ranking for the trilogy is John Wick, John Wick 3 and John Wick 2.
John Wick is the Fast And Furious of shoot em ups.
The guy you called big in the library is Boban. He's an NBA player almost 7 and a half feet tall. Also John has killed several women; The Violinist and Santino's right hand assassin at the end of Chapter 2.
Actualy you forget D' Antonio's bodyguard in second movie and well while he did not kill Gianna D' Antonio and shot her after, he would have if she did not suicide.

The desert guy , was in a movie with George Clooney ( 3 Kings) Mark Wahlberg. Ice cube, he is in a lot of movies .
The only difference is that their are no pretty girl spitting in your water, and in this film it wasn't three soldiers stealing. The only similarities is both movies having a desert scene (so did the first Ironman movie)!

As to the reason for Mr. Wick putting another round or 2 in the head that is called paying the insurance since you do not want to have one get back up behind you especially with dangerous animals and Homo Sapiens is one of the most dangerous creatures out there. If you were impressed with Mark Dacascos, you'd probably love the 1997 film _Drive,_ in which he starred with Kadeem Hardison and the late Brittany Murphy also had a supporting role. Especially when you consider the low budget, it's quite entertaining and you get to see Mark *really* show what he was capable of!
I like how in the trailers and in the movies. They use one of vivaldis four seasons. ( winter in this one ) hotel lobby gunfight. Last movie in the art gallery gunfight. ( four seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter) classical music.

I took my 18 year old to see this in the theater, and the whole place was crazy with all the action. It was like a rock concert. Can't wait until #4. One of the few movies I'm looking forward to this year.

Great reactions to the 3 Wick movies to date (like you I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, it's been too bloody long!). The only thing that bothered me about this film, as with many films over the decades, is that when non-English languages are spoken they often don't sound authentic. Mark Dacascos' Japanese was a prime example of this. They spent months and months rehearsing the fight scenes and couldn't be bothered to make a few lines sound more natural?
I was shocked they got Halle Berry when this came out, and she went all in on the training. Love her character with the dogs. It also great to see Winston (Ian McShane) and esp. Charon (Lance Reddick) have larger roles and get in the on action. The old 50s office tech is cool. As a kid, I actually saw a switchboard operator pulling and connecting the wires. Can't hack tech that old.
Be sure to watch the Halle Berry training video! She wound up breaking a couple of ribs.

The dogs are called Belgian Malinois. They are extremely smart and can literally jump and climb and do crazy stunts. They are used for protection and guard dogs. Police are replacing German Sheppard's with them. They are also used in the military.
I think all the men in the knife fight scene got the "point" that John Wick is not to be messed with.
I can't believe you didn't want to watch a guy get stabbed through the eye. When I saw that scene, I was waiting for them to cut away (no pun intended) but then they showed it, and I was shocked.
John did kill a woman in the second movie. The woman with the short dark hair in the reflection area. But I agree the adjudicator must die. If for nothing else, just for being creepy.

Killing the Adjudicator would be a big mistake, John is still excommunicado until he kills Winston. The Adjudicator is High Table. Killing any member of the High Table in the Continental is worse and got him in excommunicado in the first place at the end of John Wick Chapter 2. The High Table has leverage to any one below it including the Continental.
Oh man, Halle was my first Bond Girl, and she is a fine woman.

I love this movie but I again with y'all when it comes to the fall at the end of the movie. Am like how can he possibly survive that fall?? that's the only thing that I had an issue with for this movie. I think Wintson was trying to help himself including John as well.

If you notice the last shot of Winston he tells you what choice John was forced to make i.e., "The Baba Yaga" instead of a "man that was loved and loved his wife". So Winston helped him make a choice, not meant to kill him.

I don't find the lack of a head shot convincing. And it looks to me Wick is going to kill him in the upcoming movie. So if he did act with mercy as you surmise then it's going to bite him in the ass.
