  • In a SYNOD24 FAQ session, Bishop Tim and Steph Unger discussed that a Synod is a gathering of God's people, including bishops, pastors, parish group leaders, and regular churchgoers, to discuss the Church and its mission. This particular Synod focuses on engaging marginalised groups such as those who have experienced domestic violence, prisoners, and refugees, aiming to make the Church more inclusive. Even though only a limited number of representatives from the Archdiocese can attend, Bishop Tim encourages all community members to actively participate in outreach and mission work without waiting for the Synod, emphasizing that the mission work should start immediately within their communities. We look forward to SYNOD24, and may the Holy Spirit guide us as we listen and learn together about the future of our Church.

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Is there anyway to see what topics are going to be discussed at the synod or is that private?

SYNOD24 will be discussing the focus areas (Decrees) that have come out of the Australian Plenary Council. You can read all the Plenary Council Decrees here aobsynod2024.com/plenary-council-resources/. You can also explore the website to learn more about the process leading up to the synod.

Bring back true Catholicism. No one needs heretics following the modern trends. Just Christ
