Back in the day we ran 6 x Altec 902-8B comps on Altec Mantaray 931-12 small format constant directivity horns. 2 x JBL K120 mid on Mega Flares. 2 x Gauss 4560's and 2 x RCF 600 RMS 18" in solid home built W-Bins. 1982...the RCF 18's were potent. much lovers and rockers and King Tubby.....and all that was good. I am smiling. thank you.
What kind of wood did you use for it all? Birch for everything?? I want to build a sound system but wood is so expensive!! I think I’m going to bite the bullet though.
I think you can get better response from some other cabinets and perhaps more virsitility, but it really depends on what you're using them for i'd say.
Stable audio, FTF sound and storm audio are 3 i know are good cabinet builders, the plans that are available open source aren't too complex so a local carpenter could probably do it for you, i'd recommend going with someone who knows about speakers though such as the 3 above.

Hi, do you use nails for fix the horn of the altec 816 ?
Yes I nailed and glued the bending ply wood to the form, also a good idea to seal your seams with caulk/sylicone/mastic, Bless
