    I can confirm, Nachtzehrers do not eat you if you're the avatar and the last person alive. That doesn't apply to the kraken tho, I found that out the hard way.

      @couchpotatoe91 Před 2 lety +13

      Also Hexen can't charm avatars! So going for them is actually really profitable. Even the fav enemy perk is great since the hair from the coven leader can be used to craft some reeeeally useful stuff at the taxidermist!

      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +9

      Yeah solo kraken is good if you cant be rooted....but not so much if you get pulled into the mouth :(
      Good to hear nachtzehrers and hexen cannot touch us! Might have a chance haha :)

    That first encounter with all the weidergangers was like being the main protagonist of a zombie movie, never harmed too badly and completely able to defeat swarms with ease.

      Haha, yeah that is true when you have nice armour that their gums can't penetrate :P

    Look at all those barbarian king contracts, it's almost like the game is trying to tell you something 👀

  • @LordMidasGaming
    @LordMidasGaming Před 2 lety +16

    Great video. I actually thought that brigand contract was doable, but man that leader with the hammer shredded your armor too fast! On a side note: Nachzehrers can eat the avatar. They just can't eat him if he's the only player character alive. Hexen on the other hand can never charm Avatars. Regarding Flail Spinner: It doesn't matter how many targets you hit/miss, it has a 50% chance per attack to spin again which means that Thresh can only proc one more Thresh, and like you correctly pointed out, the free attack cannot proc another one.

      Thanks for the confirmations! Good to know we are slightly safer alone haha!
      Glad I got it right on the flail spinner :)
      (gonna have to see the fun we have in episode 3!)

    17:04 + yes. they cant eat you if you are running solo lone wolf. same with witches, they cant mind control you. not sure if it changed but kraken was not able to grab you with tentacles either.

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah that's super nice to not be as scared of them nach's and hex. ,(Though the size and eating habits of the nach's is what scared me haha.....)
      Kraken shouldn't be changed, it can still eat you iirc.
      The Kraken is treated like a polearm "hook" and roots the character basically.
      People can fight the Kraken solo without being eaten because they wear the goblin necklace of 'rooting' immunity :)
      (We did that in season 5 iirc)

      No no that's ok! It's been a while lol
      I've put it on the backburner and got busy. But I'm glad you guys are keen, and I'll aim to get ep3 out sooner that I did with ep2 :)

  • @couchpotatoe91

    Are you playing an older version? Clarity got changed I saw (which sucks). Berserk still seems a lot better though doesn't it? Especially with battle flow (which is my favorite combo in legends)

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +5

      Legends changed clarity, but PTR changed it back so we can enjoy the nice +1 AP :)
      Berserk sounds good but we're currently having fatigue problems so berserk might be off the table till we can sort our Fat. out. (battle flow seems nice too)

    • @couchpotatoe91
      @couchpotatoe91 Před 2 lety +3

      @@TheIndomitableSnowman Well, battle flow works basically as the extra fat you need since it adds 10% of your max fat. With mind over body discount and rebound I imagine a double spin is not off the table, at least later in the game!

    Interesting, I usually play this game in ironman mode because it starts to feel meaningless when there's no tension if you can reload

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +4

      Ahh, I can totally understand that but for peace of mind with mods that like to crash (and boy do I have a history of that...)
      I keep ironman off for safety (and have trained myself to not use reloads)

    I just had a thought. Have you read manga/manhwa genre like "solo leveling" where a guy returns back in time or someone who migrates to another world? I was thinking for the beggar play thru since he has the unique style of gaining attributes/perks as he kills maybe you can make a theme out of it. With the mod to choose perks that you normally can't maybe do a random roll of max 1-2 unique perks or choose what you think is super OP perks that you can't get normally in killing or choosing yourself as like a special perk given to you by god when you return/migrated. This is also a solo play but where you can hire others that are fodder to fuel your ever greed to be OP. Not sure if its a viable gameplay lol but thats what came to mind just now.

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +4

      Sounds like a cool idea! I don't read manga but have enjoyed some anime here and there.
      Scaling beggar is a really cool concept of an origin and playstyle to keep improving as you kill things.
      It's on my to-do list but adding a theme, couple extra mods/broeddits and some video editing would be cool (a lot of extra work for busy old me, but definitely a good idea!)
      Thanks :)

    Good vid, I started the Legend mod days ago after watching your vids.
    I'd like to ask you a question about perks. I'm following the same mod set-up of your description. It seems new backgrounds from legend mod have more perk options viable on the screen in my game. I made a lonewolf background character and he has much fewer perk options than druid or ranger(they have a LOT of options full of screen), or other new backgrounds. didn't check all of them though, I wonder - Is this intended or did I miss something to run the mod properly?

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před 2 lety +2

      I'm glad you're enjoying the vids and are getting into the mods too :)
      If you're running the PTR mod then you'll probably see a few extra perks. But for seeing different amounts of perks on brothers, that's most likely due to the 'dynamic perks' option when starting the game.
      Iirc, the lone wolf start should have a nice set of perks, but I think the druid and ranger have more. (Mainly because they have favoured beasts, magic, & ranged stuff whereas the lone hedgie has just melee stuff)
      Hopefully this helps (and that I'm not incorrect too haha)!

    Is it recommend to install mods for beginner to intermediate players?

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  Před rokem +1

      I usually tell people to try out vanilla (with the dlc) first before diving into mods. (try and get it all on sale ofc)
      The base game is rather complex and the skills you learn there can help you with modded gameplay (modded definitely makes it very complex).
      Just my recommendation, but you can go with/without mods to start and still have fun :)
