Awesome video Karen! It's so fantastic to see the trees and bushes growing back through all of that ash and rock. Mother Nature is amazing! How could you not recognize Mt Saint Helen's? Umm, the giant mountain that looks like the top got blown off about 40 years ago.😅😆 That's too funny! Looks like you all had a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing it with us!✌️🤠

That was awesome, it's marvellous how Mother nature can restore itself after such harsh events like that, thx to the tour guide Steve (🤣) for his drone. The intro was great as well. Stay safe and healthy and rock on 🤟👍

Thanks Claude! It really is amazing how quickly the area is recovering, I guess the waterways even benefit from the blast. The drone is so much fun, super cool to get different perspectives, and Steve's a great tourguide, lol. Thanks again for watching!

I remember when it blew. My eyes were glued to the tv. It was truly an amazing event. Nice to see a prospective from the ground and what it looks like now. awesome video.

Thank you, it really was a milestone in history, so many folks recall exactly what they were doing when it went off and watching the incredible footage on TV (or live in some circumstances!) The drone is so cool to fly in situations like this to get a better look at terrain. It was windy that day so we're looking forward to going back and getting better footage from some different vantage points...and maybe helping more people find the volcano, lol.

"Where's the volcano?" Hilarious!! At the beginning of May, 1980, I flew from Denver to Anchorage, AK, with a connection in Seattle. The airline pilot made it a point to get his passengers a view of Mt. St. Helens, which was already percolating with pre-eruption seismic events. I remember seeing the smoking cone of the volcano, and feeling that our plane was pretty damned close to the hazard. A couple of weeks later, another worker joined me at my job in Anchorage, and he brought a picture of the mountain after the destruction and devastation the eruption caused, with the crater still smoking and menacing! What a sight!! Thanks for giving us your perspective on an incredible area, and a memorable area!

What a super cool story! That's so neat that you got to see it smoldering just before it went off. Dramatic with the proximity of the plane too! It's an amazing place, thanks for watching!

This was awesome. I remember it all so well! the eruption was something i will never forget! the visitors center has so much awesome info and even a movie of up close the volcano as it was erupting and the destruction it caused. They have hiking trails around the volcano too. Its pretty amazing and well worth the trip going there. Having seen it and watched it happen from this far away, up close, it was terrifying!

What cool memories you have. We caught part of that video you are talking about and only part of the visitors center since we were chasing the sun to find our camping spot too. All great thongs to look forward to on the next trip. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

We have been there before and after the event. It can make the mind reel thinking about the amount of material that was moved. Thanks for sharing. The drone work was great as well as the voiceover. We are glad everyone is healthy. Hi to hubby and woof to the pups. See you next time. Oh, if you melt down the ash you can make a really beautiful green piece of glass to make a beautiful piece of jewelry. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 😷⚒

I'm finally getting to all the comments I'm so behind on! That is fascinating about having visited before and after, must have been really moving. Even more fascinating about the green glass! How hot do you have to torch it before glass happens? So tempting to try!!! Thanks for watching, hope you're well!

Fabulous episode! Wow! Wonderful information. Spot on. Gorgeous views. I love the history of Mt. St. Helen’s. I also have an Aunt that lives in that area. So the eruption was one she experienced.
Thanks for the drone views. It really adds an element of beauty to areas like that. I’m looking forward to your next trip there.
    Welcome, Owyhee!
Your pups are the cutest 🥰
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful day with us.

Thank you so much Maribeth! It was really striking just how beautiful the whole place was, what a treat to visit with near perfect weather. I bet your aunt has some cool stories about the events, it's crazy how active that volcano is! Owyhee is happy to be part of the pack, thanks for the warm welcome. Thanks again for watching and take care!

  • @rockhoundingwithjasperblue

Well, that was a very cool video! When Mt St. Helens went off we could see it’s effects, including ash fall, all the way down in LA. It was the 1st time I watched the Sun turn red. My daughter was born shortly after that. So this video is a little special to me. The music was great. The drone footage quite cool. But I gotta say, Karen, your voice-overs skirt the edge of almost ‘haunting’. In a ‘Heavenly’ way!💎 Damn! I think you should do voice work for the Movies!! (for real).
And star in them too! For you are quite pleasant on the eyes as well. Loved this! Thank You for sharing. 💎

      @OzoneFineArtVentures  Před 2 lety +1

Thank you, it was such a pleasure to be able to visit St. Helens for sure. That's so cool about the birth of your daughter and the correlation with the crazy red sun. You're so kind, I really appreciate the positive feedback. Doing pro voice overs would be a dream job! It was funny that I was suffering from covid during the editing and voice overs for this video so I'm a bit critical of some 'stuffed up' sounding passages. Thanks again for your lovely comments and for watching, cheers!

No worries. Curious where the Ozone Fine Art Ventures came from? There is a book published in 1996, that features "Ozone Beach, WA". Wondered if you had ever seen it.

@@elizabethspeten548 I haven't been to Ozone Beach but would love to go. There is so much to discover with all of the Washington coolness. The Ozone (Fine Art) was an art gallery I incepted/owned/operated for about a decade featuring art and local artists that were both talented and leaned towards the wild and atmospheric in vision, lol.
