Unbelievable to be honest..
There are many cases of underage people enlisting to fight in America's wars going back to the Civil War at least.

@@mdlclassguymdlclassguy6488 You're welcome, I was in the battle that took place back in 2016-2021. The battle that you call "Depression". I have survived successfully and have been reunited with my family.
My dad had a similar story, joined the Navy at 17 in 1943 and served in the Pacific theater. This really hits home for me because the way he tells it at 93 is so similar to how my dad told it in his 90's... the details fade with age but the overall picture is still there. These were great men, the greatest generation indeed. I remember when the towers fell on Sep. 11 how my dad (76 at the time) drove down to Mayport Naval Station and asked if he could re-enlist. My father passed away away in 2020 wondering how this generation had lost that sense of duty and love of country. For him it was a given.
Wow you can be proud of your dad. Those old timers could not be beat..My grandfather had a Flagpole next to the garage, he would raise a flag everyday. I didnt get it then, but I do now..We live in the best place in tbe world..by far

This man is a true hero. He was in every battle of the Pacific from 1943 to 1945 and returned home. That must have been horrible being in the middle of the ocean and being attacked. The nightmares this man must have had. God bless his soul.

72 years of driving and no violations his car insurance must be $15 a month
Now if he'd just call Geico he could be paying only $12.75 a month!
$15 is still too much. At $15/m over 72 years he'd have handed an insurance company $13k of free money. Insurance is a scam.
@@magnetiktrax kinda true, i mean, what percentege of people who have insurance actually have an accident
@@xxtheminerproxx2582 As someone in the insurance industry, you would be surprised by the amount insurance companies have to pay out. The sad truth is that the people who go years and years without damage pays the bills for the ones that do damage their vehicles etc..
Insurance is like the lottery. Most people who pay in wont get their money back, but the people who really fck up will get more than they paid in. The lottery needs to pull in more money than it gives out, only has a few winners. Insurance companies need to take in more money than they give out, and not all people get back what they pay in. "I was in the Pacific"
"Where were you in the Pacific?"
"I was in the Navy"
can't argue with that logic
He said he was in the Navy because there’s no particular place he went. That was essentially him saying he’s been everywhere. I’m not in the Navy but I was aboard one of their ships for 10 months and there was numerous places we went in that period of time. He was aboard for nearly 3 years which means there’s probably little he hadn’t seen. He mentioned he was in the pacific though, but that’s about as specific as he can get without giving you a list a mile long.
I believe he was in the navy and served, but I dare anyone to remember fine details from 70 years ago, so we have to forgive him for that. Anyway, I thank him and everyone like him.
He's AWESOME!!!!!
He also said he was at every battle in pasfic
@Luna EB In the armed forces you're given leave and flown back to the States. Even in World War II guys that were fighting in Europe and the Pacific were given leave to Hawaii or the UK. These days guys are flown home for a break. He's saying it correctly in the context, meaning no leave to return home. He left for the fight and didn't see home for years. He's old and not as fast as he was, but still makes perfect sense in context.
Two world treasures having a great conversation. I’d sit and listen to that war vet for hours tell his stories. He should be on the veterans of WW2 channel on CZcams

I came back from Vietnam and had an outstanding speeding ticket doing 30 in a 25 MPH zone at 2:30 AM coming home from my shift at Pontiac Motors. I was still in the Army when fronted up to the court to pay that old fine ... the Judge nailed me for the state fees and court costs, which was a lot of money for a married GI with one child ... Lets, see what was the worst one....oh right, being a crewman on a battleship, you would think one of the plethora of naval battles that happened between 1943-45 would be one I name, but no, I will name a famous land battle where I was just getting a tan while lobbing shells at an island with no risk to myself. On top of that I will remind you we lost more marines there than the battle of the bulge where there were...ya know, zero marines...so basically any battle a single marine died would have lost more marines than the battle of the bulge. I'd like to bless YOUR heart!
You just can see the admiration in the judges eyes he really has a heart for veterans, same for me i could listen to their stories the whole day, special special people.
Emir Spahic Yes. So am I. God Bless them
Emir, same here.
If more people were like this judge and this man the world would be a much better place

Same here!
What an angel, this man is a treasure, what bravery at 16. Way more man than I could ever be
His story is the same as my Grandfather who was an immigrant and who saw action in WWI (army) and my Dad (recently passed) who saw combat in WWII (army), his brother who fought in Korea(army), my cousin in Vietnam(army-deceased due to Agent Orange complications). God bless him. He looks like he was sharp as a tack still.
Thank you for the comment. Reminds me the freedom is not free.
That's awesome man god bless every one of them 🙏
He looks and sounds unreal for his age, two class acts.
He respawned in 1945 after a kamikaze hit his ship.
@@scharrk after eminems previous album hit his ship?
The first time, I've heard a veteran say "you're welcome" in response to being thanked for their service
This wonderful man has a great memory. He described what he went through in great detail. May he live many more years to tell us more. God bless.
God bless those that support veterans. My dad(82 years old) had his veterans Air Force ball cap on when we left the grandstands at a local rodeo. He needed to us the restroom, the line was very long. As we stood in the back a man looked at him and yelled we got a veteran here. Every man all the way to the urinal moved aside and beckoned him to move to the front.
This, boys and girls, is a real man. He stands and fights for his country. Tells the truth even when at fault. Faces the consequences of his actions. He Honers his country and put his life on the line for it. He has my greatest respect.
All true but unfortunately an endangered species
So are you a boy or a girl?
You're 100% right. Men are not raised like this anymore(myself included.) This was when family and friends were real and everything, and making your father proud held real weight.
Nowadays, we have people like Glenn, Sovereign citizens, 1st amendment frauditors, etc.
You honestly think it takes guts to admit for a petty crime? You consume too much sensational media to even remotely think the majority of males are that immature.
“Oh no! I got a ticket! I might as well make the situation worse by throwing a tantrum”
This is insane, an elder that doesn’t go 20 in a 55
He ran a light.
@@ChannelZeroOne He made a right on red I believe
@@ripcurrent2484 That's correct.
@@ChannelZeroOne that isn't against the law unless it says not to if you are thinking that
@@Xexden He likely did not come to a complete stop and that's against the law in most states. Jesus internet nazis.
93 yrs old, still able to remember his own story when he 16yrs salute 👏👏👏🙋♂️
Truly the greatest generation and we thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
