i literally just set my ringtone to the Brood song. i have been using john cena's for like more than10years. then come across brood and remembering those vibes. one of the coolest theme and that entrance...!
The problem with The Brood and Gangrel in particular is that Gangrel is actually kinda terrible on the mic and his smile comes off more cheesy than anything else. When Edge smiled it looked menacing. But Gangrel with that smile and his constant giggling after every sentence it just doesn't fit the vampire character.
it was a different doink after the first one who was kind of evil. once it turned more comedy he was fired and they put another guy under the mask. Then it was doink and dink with a migdet both early 90s. the few times they brought legends back they got another guy. the original is dead now unfortunatly. i forget his name
100% right we want to be rewarded for remembering. It's basically like being rewarded for our loyalty. Now, in my 40's, I realise many big organisations are more worried about recruitment than retention. Thus I stopped watching WWE completely a few years ago-even though I still admire the art of professional wrestling.
This is very true for wrestling as well. There's something called the cost of acquisition.. for many industries this is at odds with the cost of customer retention. For the WWE.. cost of retention is cheap.. acquisition is difficult because of the stigma around the product. This means the majority of budget will go to acquiring new talent and exposing new fans to the product. In short, no one is going to stop watching wrestling because Gangrel didn't come out..
That is just silly. The crowds didn't even go crazy for the brood entrance until the "you think you know me" hit. I think WWE should have had Gangrel there just for the fun of it, but I don't think it would have been a huge moment. Let alone anything close to Savio Vega.
And Gangrel was in great great shape at that time he could have absolutely revived his career even though he was really doing great on the Indy circuits I actually traveled to go see Gangrel

Sid returned about 15 years later. He was last seen in WWF before the Attitude Era popularity, so he missed a massive boost of recognition. It was weird because by 2012, many fans stopped watching wrestling in general so his fanbase was mostly gone. I didn't know he returned until I saw a video on CZcams months after...

Yeah, because he's a former WWE Superstar. You have to be amazingly talented to pull that off. Especially if you have Gangrel's build. Vince has always fallen in love with musclebound giants, but regular sized dudes have to be gifted.
If I'm remembering correctly Gangrel did and interview where he was in talks with AEW to make a special appearance but when Edge started doing The Brood entrances the talks fell apart so I'm not sure it would've worked out anyways if he was indeed hashing something out with the rival company

Sadly it's true. If you recall maybe 5 years ago when the New Day came out dressed like the Brood for the Halloween episode of Smackdown. Nobody in the audience reacted to the song and nobody knew what the hell they were dressed up as and what was going on.

This is a true rags to Richard story. He grew up watching his heroes and then eventually wrestled his heroes. It's kind of incredible and the fact that he is able to articulate a fan's feeling the way that. Not too many other superstars are and I remember gangrell and I remember the brood. I thought the brood were one of the coolest fucking groups ever. I wanted gangrell's cup so bad. I used to get WWE magazine and I would go to the shopping thing and I would always try to figure out a new way to trick my mother and dad getting it for me. And then later in life I realized all I had to do was ask my dad and he would have got it for me but I digress I wanted his goblet so bad.
We remember. If nothing else we remember the music. The Gangrel/Brood entrance music is one of the greatest entrance themes of all time. If we could have gotten 30 seconds of that music at Mania in Sofi - the roof would've came off the place.

One of the coolest entries I’ve ever ever seen in my entire life. The theme song worked really well with it. Everything is awesome.
Even if it doesn't get a big pop many fans at home will appreciate it. Gangrel deserves a bit of recognition for his time in the WWF.
