The famous Indian "head bobble" is widely known around the world. But why do Indians bobble their heads so often? Do they even know that they’re doing it? We hit the streets of Mumbai to find out.
The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Indian population.
Special thanks to our Asian Boss team in Mumbai.

Indians can literally communicate without saying anything just using their heads and faces. Head wobbles and expressions go a far longer way than spoken word.
Indeed it's true
they are especially good when you really dont want to talk to some one or want them to just leave. its quite easy to be dismissive while still not being rude.
Yeah we learnt it from our friends during exams
The head wobbling differs from state to state. Even from district to district. My husband's home is located in another district of Kerala. Which is 60km away. Kinda we are 😂
@Jagz are yar 🤦🤦 google dont show everything right
@Khushi Bidhuri
But there is nowhere written we have 33 million gods. We have 3 major diety Brahma vishnu and mahesh and all others are part of them like Shri ram and shri krishna are avatar of vishnu etc. If you have noticed that we worship nature as a devta like surya dev agni dev etc. Yes you are right hinduism was not even religion before kalyuga. Actually if you go deep you will find that everything is very scientific for eg that 9 avataar of vishnu represents darwin theory of human evolution. Rishis were scientists and doctors of that time. They were very developed. Hinduism promotes moksha. There are many types. Like you can believe in god but you do not prefer idol worshipping then you are nirgun Brahman (here brahman does not refere any cast) . You dont believe in god then you can be atheist hindu. Many rishis in olden times were atheist. Actually there is freedom of opinions in Hinduism unlike other religions. But we definitely don't have 33 million gods. No one can name them. That is biggest misconceptions people use to defame our religion.

Can I ask if u think these guys in video has strong Indian accent?
My goodness, Indian people have such beautiful hair! So thick and luxurious-even the men. What a beautiful characteristic-they are very lucky.
MaryAnne Brown Yes, they have gorgeous, thick, luscious hair.
@Musa Khan Native Australians eh, are you for real? Any proof?
@Musa Khan Dravidians, are of a mixed genetic origin and have ancestry from indigenous South Asian Hunter Gatherers, Neolithic West Asian farmers from Iran and Steppe Yamnaya pastoralists. I don't find Australians in their ancestry, so please stop making up stories.
im indian and when i lived in the uk i was totally fine with how my hair was. then i came back to india and got so insecure because of how thin it is😂

4:12 Even in explaining head gestures Indian girls be bringing "Infinity" !!! Talk about Indians & Maths 😂😂😂😂😂♥️🌸
In Japan a common phrase "Ba no Kuuki wo Yomu" is very important. It means understanding the situation without words.
It is quite prevalent in many asian countries.
The head bobble is kind of an extension of that. It is used in day to day life where you express yourself without the use of any words.
The vagueness it creates is what the speaker is aiming for.
For example when you ask your father "Dad can I go to the school trip, it's 1300km away"
Your father may bobble his head, and you may interpret it as either 'yes' or 'no'.
Your father's actual response may change as the time passes and technically he won't be going back on his words as his response earlier was vague and you interpreted it wrongly.
Well that does perfectly explain the side to side bobble one😂that we do
I am Mexican American and I love my Indian brothers and sisters. I have to admit I eat more Indian food than Mexican food sometimes. Shhh.. Our Secret.🤫🤫

I'm in England ...years ago I had an Indian doctor instruct me to fill a 2.5 litre or 1/2 a gallon, container full of piss... When I went back days later , the receptionist cracked up because they only needed about 20ml for a simple test 😒😂

Not all Indians speak fluent English man, only 10-12 of us speak English that alone made us the 2nd country who has the most English speakers after US
