Love the cobalt blue🌺🌸
We so enjoyed this segment!
That birdbath is somethin else! 😃
Wish I had an address that could showcase this birdbath. It's a WOW!
You are the best videographer when it comes to showing the articles! So many CZcamsrs pan to fast and do not focus properly. Thank you so much for the excellent way you present your videos.
I appreciate your kind comment. 😘
Oh my! What an amazing antique mall! You showed us the most beautiful pieces! I’m so interested in crystal and cut glass and many others who have CZcams channels won’t even look at clear glass and it saddens me so!! Thank you for showing these beautiful pieces and always including a bit of the history of the piece as well.
I have come to love your channel and have a fond and deep respect for you and the knowledge that you share. Thank you so very much.
You make my heart sing! 🥰 Just love elegant glass and crystal.
I always learn something new whilst watching 👍👍
Awesome, thank you!
The cobalt vases, porcelain and crystal, are fabulous! 💙💙💙
Dream it and you might just find it! 😉
Hello Lady Mary Beth I do enjoy your shopping videos they are wonderful to watch I really enjoyed this video God Bless you Josephine:)
Thanks so much!
Everything was beautiful, thanks for sharing with us. Stay safe and have a blessed day.
Thank you! You too!
Beautiful
Enjoyed watching for the second time. Beautiful things!
There are some lovely pieces in this shop, Lady Mary Beth; and, what a huge place it is! I love your cobalt blue basket, and the Waterford block is so cute. And you got such a terrific deal on the Waterford bowl. I have the same vase that you're holding at 8:20. I'm glad you had such a great time at the sale, and it's easy to see why it took four hours to see almost everything. Thanks for sharing your time with us.
"For back-up." I love it!!
Seriously! The back-up could be one that I take to an event outside my home. Have only left my house once with my coveted McKee Glass Co. "Aztec" punch bowl. It was for my mother's memorial service where we featured Gulf Shrimp. She deserved the best and would have been proud of the elegant reception. Everyone needs a punch bowl!
I learn something new from every one of your videos. Thank you! 💙☕️🫖
Glad you found your cobalt pieces.
I just love how excited you get about glassware, I can hear shared giddiness in your voice!
It’s true! I am passionate about crystal and glass.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos! Learning so much as well:)
Will release a segment in a few weeks. 😉
I just love your videos. I've learned alot from watching you and My Take On Home And Garden. I cant get over how you all find things so cheap. My make nothing into something beautiful. Love from Ohio.
Fun video! My 20 year-old daughter and I love to shop at that antique mall when she's home from college. And speaking of my daughter, my mom gifted me with the Waterford baby block just hours after she was born ... glad you got it. LOVE your finds, especially your cobalt blue basket ... exquisite!
Glad you and your daughter enjoy this antique mall. Such a special gift and memory to cherish with the Waterford baby block.
I have lots of beautiful cobalt blue cut to clear in my antique booth. I was very lucky to find several really nice pieces.
Awesome! Wish I could shop your antique booth.
@@LadyMaryBeth come to Charlotte NC. We’d love to have you!
Thank you lady Mary Beth for your highlight comment I've been watching video at the video I can't get tired of watching all your videos I love thrift shopping and I love all the Antiques and dishes and glass it's so awesome I'm going to try to go to some of those thrift shops did you mention thank you so much again
I noticed the stained glass when you entered: I have beautiful stained glass windows in every room in my apt. and one hanging between the kitchen & dining room. My; favorite was found in an antique shop in Tulsa, OK; it has amber surrounding the grape vine in the center; gorgeous when the sun shines in & at night when I come home as the inside light makes it so lovely
Loved this shopping trip! So much fun and so interesting. And yes, yes, yes to a video featuring compotes!! I just love them.
So glad you would like to see compotes. There are many uses and they are elegant... like beautiful, graceful swans.
Morning lady Mary Beth ,loved thr wing backed chairs ,when you went in ,this store had such beautiful items ,I could buy so much ,thank you for taking us around with you lv Ann uk xx
Greetings from Texas! Always great to hear from you, Ann.
Hi! I really liked the urns at the beginning. Recently found Paris porcelain floral urns with the cobalt blue cross sword mark , bronze trim at my thrift store for $15 each. Glad you found some blue cobalt, so beautiful!
The two swords backstamp is Meissen, a German porcelain manufacturer. It’s located near Dresden in former East Germany. What an awesome find with the urns.
Wow!!! All are beautiful antiques.
Thank you so much for coming along for the antique gallery! 😊
I so enjoy going shopping with you. I like how it’s entertaining AND educational. Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it! I had my eye on more and it was so tempting.
What a pleasure to shop in an antique store that is so well styled and clean! I got a laugh about using the sugar shaker for powder in a baby’s room but it is a clever idea.
You are so nice, pleasant and inspiring. Thank you for making a new video, and continue your amazing hard work.
You put a spring in my step. Thanks for the encouragement! 😘
It never ceases to AMAZE me how so MANY of the things you are drawn to are the very same things that catch my eye! It’s delightful for me really, I have found my taste among family and people I know to be what is politely referred to as ‘traditional’, not meant as a compliment-hmmm! Lol! Well, this place is FABULOUS, would have been there for hours also 🙂. Thank you for this visit! (I loved the last collie figurine you highlighted!)
We are kindred spirits for sure! 🥰
My Mum had some of the Desert Rose .... yes, it came to Australia many years ago. Not anymore sadly. I always loved your Mum's pattern with the Ivy.
Wedgwood purchased Franciscan and their Johnson Brothers brand continued with the Desert Rose. Lord Wedgwood told my mother that they did not continue the Ivy pattern since Wedgwood had Napoleon Ivy at the time. Franciscan Ivy was her signature set and it reminds me so much of her. She bought the rare soup tureen at Replacements.com after being on a 3 year waiting list. She paid $1200! Makes me sad that it all went for nothing at my father's estate sale when he moved. Though, I would be too emotional using her pattern everyday.
I love the tea caddy. I've never seen one before.
Such an unexpected find. I like that it has the inner lid and absolutely love Chinoiserie. 💙🫖
That blue cobalt crystal basket was the prize of the day, so beautiful, you're lucky to find it.🌸🌷🌱🕊
Could hardly believe it. Really didn't think I would find cobalt cut crystal there. Wish it and it might just come true.
@@LadyMaryBeth love your inspiring quotes
Oooh my I saw so many beautiful things that caught my eyes TFS 👍🏾
Thanks so much for coming along!
Beautiful finds and of course narrated in such a delightful way. You inspired me to search out my Bohemian glass, that I had stored away, in anticipation of having guests who are originally from the Czech Republic to honour their heritage.
Oh, I bet your Bohemian glass collection is amazing! Rotate and enjoy it. 💙
@@LadyMaryBeth Besides the bohemian glass, which I confess is not my favourite, I have 85 pieces of Waterford, Lismore pattern. I have been lucky enough to find most of it still in its 1970’s ordinal boxes, so I know it’s the best. I love the Lismore hock glasses, beautiful in the hand. My greatest find was 10 Lismore champagne coups for $100 Canadian, one of them had a small nibble on the rim but otherwise perfect. I already had 8. Of course I had to have a champagne and strawberry afternoon tea to celebrate!
Love the cobalt basket,so cute ❤ lots of nice items ❤😊 Enjoyed the shopping tour😊❤
WoWzErS!👀I learned so many new things! Thank you so much for sharing! I just loved this informative video!♥️
I appreciate you coming along! Will feature the Bohemian Cobalt Crystal and the tea canisters on my birthday table. It's all about blue and white.
@@LadyMaryBeth It won’t matter what color(s) you use - the setting will look StUnNiNg, I’m sure! ♥️
Wow, what an amazing place ty for sharing your shopping, you found some gorgeous pieces
Thanks so much for coming along!
Hello beautiful LMB... this was such a treat to watch!! Thank you! 🌹❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the tour. Everything was so organized. I could have done some damage to my bank account in that antique mall;)
I love chinoiserie. Always something I look for at thrift stores and antique malls.
The history of Chinoiserie is fascinating. I plan to feature in an upcoming segment. 💙🤍
So glad you featured this place! I go there every so often and always find something!
Had not been since last Summer looking with my college kid. Really need to go there more often. The staff is helpful and the booths have such treasures. Thanks for coming along and hope you get back there soon!
Love your videos very entertaining and you are so knowledgeable about the crystal. Love the blue crystal basket can't wait to see how you style it.
Thank you so much! I plan to feature vibrant pink roses in the cobalt basket and other cobalt vases on Chinoiserie table runners. The blue and white will be my birthday setting.
Have you ever shown your home in Germany? I would love to have a tour to see how you have decorated it Mary Beth. It must have been strange to have a woman snatch the little table right out of your hands.
We are headed back to Germany late Summer. It’s been two years due to travel restrictions. Last I was there, had not even dreamed of starting a channel. So, the home tour will be a first to share.
You go girl. I love to watch your videos so fun. Smart
Thanks for coming along for the antique shopping!
Thank you for taking us to the antique mall. Your knowledge is admirable and I enjoy your channel very much. Chuckled that you managed to remain a lady as the barley item was snatched from you.
I was absolutely shocked over this barley twist grabbing. 😨 She was nowhere near the booth and rushed in to take it. Said her daughter wanted it. Was hard to see her brazen and ruthless behavior. Though, my faith in humanity is restored by all the wonderful and kind people I often encounter.
Loved the pink satin glass sandwich server; so beautiful.
My friend was thrilled with her find.
It’s so great to see your subscribers and views rising every video!
Congrats
Thanks so much! 😘
I just loved going to the antique mall with you. It was so much fun and you did get a few bargins too. Thank you for letting me tag along! ❤
I appreciate you coming along!
Love the cobalt rosé bowl
Love the cobalt basket!!! So beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊 So glad to have found it!!!
Nice video thought I would see old country rose
Yes, a bit surprising that Old Country Roses was not in this huge store.
Lady Mary Beth that Community flatware that you found at the thrift shop I have it I found it at a yard sale for pennies on the dollar that is so awesome and some of those doilies that that you showed me I have some of those hankies I carry them in my purse thank you so much
Amazing antique mall! So jealous of all those cobalt pieces! I have my mom's curio filled w white milk glass, cobalt pieces & of course my blue & white chinoiserie pieces. I also love finding unique ways to use items. My milk glass juice pitcher is used for makeup brushes & I couldn't pass on this gorgeous crystal/silver sugar shaker w a sm nick. It's perfect for facial powder. And my make-up table wouldn't be complete w/o my depression glass sandwich tray that holds some of my eye make-up. And of course, everything looks even more elegant on a silver tray. Might as well feel a little extra special while "putting my face on"! lol Don't recall the pattern, but I have this huge milk glass punch bowl that I fill every spring w a huge bouquet of blue Hydrangeas. These items are just too beautiful to keep packed away & besides, they make me happy! 😉
Love your idea of filling a punch bowl with hydrangeas. Will feature a segment on punch bowls… and Chinoiserie is coming up soon.
@@LadyMaryBeth How exciting! I need a "wing man" like u when I go thrifting! lol We have very similar tastes. Have a great week
The cobalt rose bowl you decided to get is incredible; looking forward to seeing the table setting
My birthday table has evolved over the last week. Going for a blue and white Chinoiserie look accented with the Bohemian Cobalt Cut Crystal vases.
Hi Mary Beth... I so enjoyed the antique mall trip.It must be huge ,it seemed to go on forever. Thanks for focusing on blue and white My everyday dishes are Blue willow many kinds from England but even some American when I antique shop in Niagara on the lake I also use spode and even Chinese dishes from our Bombay shop once owned by a store called Bowrings it was originally English in Newfoundland but when they joined Canada in 1949 they spread across the country When you worked for Waterford did you visit there in Ireland ? It sounds like a wonderful career thanks for the tour well filmed andas always super informative Bye now Susan in London Ontario
Glad to know about your blue and white dish collection. Would love to shop your local stores. Actually, I left Waterford shortly before the big trip to Ireland. Still in contact with my artisan friends there. I need to go visit!
Amazing store and great finds
Thanks so much!
Wow! What a fun day!
So many treasures we left behind. Will go back for the next sale. Thanks for coming along! 😘
Love love everything ❤️❤️
Thanks! It’s funny how we can wish for something and find the unusual. Really didn’t expect to come across Bohemian Cobalt Crystal and Chinoiserie. 💙🤍
great finds today!
Thanks! The Waterford bowl was a steal.
Hello friend ! Had to check on this wonderful store...the Waterford vase you picked is exquisite ! You'll crack up at our epergne in tomorrow's video.😎🌴endless beauty
Thanks for popping over for the antique tour! 🤗 Can hardly wait for your next segment. Love epergnes! A viewer commented to make sure I knew the French pronunciation in a previous video. So, I had to give both versions. Ha!
@@LadyMaryBeth I actually found a Fenton Epergne just like the one you highlited! It was not identified but I'd been doing homework . Sadly , I had small children at the time and turned it down in favor of a Singer Commemorative sewing kit in suede with entire contents . The snake handled scissors set is with my applique supplies. I really fell in love with the table cloth as anything so dainty with butterflies is my preference .
great choice on the cobalt blue!
Will incorporate cobalt crystal into my birthday party tablescape.
Beautiful finds
I am headed back this Friday for their Labor Day sale. ☺️
@@LadyMaryBeth be sure to post a video I m learning so much I can’t believe it
So many beautiful finds. How did you resist taking all of that crystal home? What a wonderful place.
I enjoyed this video…thank you! believe the over sized sugar bowl that you mentioned at 7:24-7:39 may be a American Cut Glass Spooner as well. I love them - have three in different styles. The blue Fostoria Versailles glasses at 12:36-12:55 are a favorite in my collection. I have the coupes…hope to find the wine and ice tea glasses.
You are probably right! So many treasures here. Hope you find Versailles wines and iced beverages.
@@LadyMaryBeth : Sometimes it is hard to tell…Sugar bowls used to be “very” large to accommodate the “lumps of sugar” that was served at the table. (I have sugar nips…now I need the large sugar bowl…lol!) Thank you for the good vibes to find the blue Forstoria Versailles wine and iced beverages💙

I'm always hunting WF Powerscourt water goblets. 😀
I don't see them often. Though, Goodwill Online had some about a month ago. Might want to check "Waterford" on this site. It's a gorgeous pattern!
You should go to Still Goode Consignment, I think you would love it, if you haven't been already. It's not far from this Antique Gallery in Spring. Also, Resale with a Purpose in Tomabll, if you haven't been, is a real junk shop with great prices and the give 100% of profits to local charities-even employees are volunteers. Also, Interfaith Hand me Up in Woodlands is the most attractive thrift shop I've seen with actually thrift prices! Thanks for featuring our Spring, TX!! A great place to live!! :)
Have shopped all of these except Interfaith. Need to go now. Thanks for the tip! 👍🏻
@@LadyMaryBeth you've showed me so many great shops, I'm glad I helped you find a new one! You're like the Houston thrift expert! Lol!
You're probably familiar with Something Special in Woodlands as well? Not sure what side of town you're on, but I'm in Spring, I'm glad I found your channel so I can try some new place! Go on an adventure:)
Actually, that blue and white "tea kettie" is used for boiling soup in China. It's called the double boil soup pot. Why are soups double boiled? Double boiling is a popular traditional Chinese pot-in-pot cooking method. This method slowly boils the dish and is a more gentle process. First, a ceramic pot is submerged within an outer pot of boiling water, similar to the concept to the French cooking method of bain marie.
Another viewer pointed this out and really glad to know. Thanks for the detailed explanation of use. ☺️
Waterford Crystals should give you some money every time you say it in your show. You are a walking free publicity for them.
Love that! Would be great if they would consider. 😂 It’s so ingrained in me from my career start in the 90’s. . I think the seahorse logo is on my forehead. Forever a Waterford girl. 💚
You are so knowledgeable in it. If the shoe fits . . .
❤️
4 hours😂 i would have never left the store!
Must be nice to have multiple homes in the states and in Germany.
We need a lesson on recognizing Waterford.
Will showcase crystal in a future segment. Great idea!
Gracias
Sorry that I am just now seeing this. We have been at our home in Germany. Hope you got it sorted out and forwarded to your APO address.
I bought a cake plate a year ago that was the blue opalescent. I didn’t really do anything other put it in my China cabinet.
So many ways you could use the cake plate. I just love blue opalescent. Filmed at at consignment store today and they had a small Fenton hobnail blue opalescent basket.
I heard you mention a "handkerchief vase" some time, though maybe not this video. Could you please tell us what that is and how it's used? Thank you, Mary Beth!
Called “slumped glass” from its melting process, the handkerchief vase mimics the casual folds of a dropped cloth (or hankie). These can be used for flowers or to place handkerchiefs. My mother had a couple of these and displayed vintage ones.
I am rearranging my bar area and most grateful to you for introducing me to the beauty of crystal and glass...I am looking for clear ABP and particularly a mix of amber and clear decanters, any suggestions on makers would be appreciated.
Look for amber “Tiara” Indiana glass. It’s affordable on eBay and has a nice vintage look. Be sure to check Goodwill Online and do a broad search for decanters. I have several videos on my channel with tips for this best kept secret. Bid at the last minute if you really want it. Found this one: www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/122765526
For clear, search cut crystal, Waterford, Orrefors, Baccarat, and etched crystal. Resale and thrift stores would be a good source.
@@LadyMaryBeth Thank you so much! I hope I can find makers marks, old porcelain is easy for me but I'm unsure where to look on glass and crystal.
I've been to Spring. My daughter lives not far from there.
Hope you visit this antique mall next time you are in town. It’s a good one!
Please tell me about the Fenton glass piece with the three vases in a bowl. My mother had it, I got it when my mom and dad died. Probably 1946 I think she told me it was a wedding gift.
How often do people tell you that you remind them of Princess Diana?Love your finds! I always look for vintage linens. I certainly would have bought the one you found. I am curious as how you store it all. Have you had an episode on storing properly?
Always good to hear of Princess Diana. I adored her. Have not featured an episode of storage, but have mentioned on social media.
@@LadyMaryBeth I thought she was wonderful. You remind me of her in appearance and elegance.
Gorgeous glass pieces💙
Thank you. 🤗 This antique superstore had all of our favorites... china, crystal, and silver!
Hello! I’m a relatively new subscriber and enjoy your videos. What product do you recommend to polish silver? Thank you.🙂
I use Hagerty silver spray and polishing gloves. It’s easy to use and takes no time. hagertyusa.com
Hi Lady Mary Beth, I love all the stuff you showed on this video. I enjoy your shopping videos so very much. I feel like I am there with you. Do you happen to know the name of the Johann Haviland dishes that you featured at location 28:57. I love them so much and would love to see if I can find a cup and saucer on ebay. Thank you.
That is the end of the video. Hmmm. Perhaps it was earlier in the segment. Wondering if it could have been Blue Garland from Haviland since this is a pattern I sometimes see.
Good morning my Lady, I bought 3 wine glasses (as a set) in the Ashling pattern at a thrift store for $14.00. Two are marked Waterford but the third one doesn’t have a mark. Does the acid mark wear off or is the third one a Waterford fake? It is not as heavy as the 2 marked ones. I really appreciate your help in learning more about Waterford. Please make a video on real and fake Waterford on how to tell the difference. Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs and smiles. 💙🦋💙🦋💙
It rare, but possible that the glass missed the mark. You got a deal! Sometimes, it is very light and hard to find. I doubt it is a fake. By the way, the glasses are often different weights since they are hand blown. I plan to feature a segment on identifying crystal.
Thank you so much for letting me know. I can’t wait to watch your “identifying crystal” video. I just found your channel and I’ve really been enjoying. Hugs and smiles. 🌺❤️🌺❤️🌺
아름다워요
That’s not a tea caddy. It’s a soup pot for slow steaming. Of course you can use it anyway you like.
Good to know. I am using as a tea caddy and a decor element.
It’s beautiful💙
I Recently bought two "echt kobalt" vases after seeing it in this video. its so gorgeous. But i cant find any information about it. it seems to be produced in tthe DDR by different porzellan houses and the only thing that connects them is the blue and gold. Do you have any tips where i could find more info about echt kobalt?
I am new at collecting cobalt... will keep you posted on any tips I learn. Will be going to Germany next month. If the flea markets are up and running (which I doubt), then I will definitely look for Echt Kobalt. Can research this further with my German connections.
I like your videos. I am looking for good silverware at a good price. What do you recommend?
When choosing stainless, make sure it’s 18/10. I explain this on the “Drab to Fab” table. Shop antique and thrift stores for silver plate. FB Rogers is affordable and easy to find.
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Can you explain the difference between Waterford and their brand. I am sure that like many other, I believe that if it came from Waterford it is Waterford. Is marquis less than Waterford.
The Marquis by Waterford line launched about 1994 and was made by Nachtmann in Germany. Today, it is made mostly in Eastern Europe. It’s definitely not made by Waterford artisans.
