i like that the guy who had 40 hp at the start survived till the end... and even played a pretty important part in the win.

53:54 lol the GC picked up the Brick, but when he died, the GC put it down gently.
That Ahwassa at about 1:07:00 was a ctrl K to get it to land on the antinuke. Really good job on that timing
He seems to miss the one at 1:17:53 as well. Gyle not understanding what's happening is one thing, but him being zoomed in on some construction project while plays are happening is worse.
@@anzov1n He had another recent video where I made a similar comments. He was zoomed on on some bull shit construction for no reason while a huge battle was happening that he just completely missed. It's not like these are live, he can paused or watch the video ahead of time to make sure he doesn't miss the big stuff
@@eeebee6166 dude, it's really not that important. There's a mini-map that you can look at while he's zoomed in. Gyle's commentary isn't 'pitch-perfect' but it is amusing and that's what we're here for.

This is maybe the most pathetic defense of anything I have ever seen in my entire life lol. All I did was mention that it was a control k, which I wouldn't have expected Gyle to catch.
But I assume you're talking about my other comment where he was looking at some fucking engies building like pgens or something while huge battles are happening. That isn't "not being pitch perfect", that's being actively fucking stupid. It would be like a sports caster completely missing a play because he was focusing on a guy handing out popcorn. We're not here to watch shit being constructed, we're here for the fights, so the fights should be he priority.

This is the kinda stuff that gets me going as crazy as a sports fan would for the NFL, I catch myself cheering when a big play happens.

Missed opportunity is what destoryed team one. Eagle didn't do much of anything for 30-40 minutes. Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe the feeling when he just let his whole army get wiped out. With so many missed opportunities early in the game and general lack of awareness, it came back to haunt them despite their later success.
Yeah, seeing that monkeylord just casually wipe all that out was criminal. Enough firepower there to wreck it in seconds, then use the initiative and roll over the north.
Regal was the weak link, but only a 1200. He had nothing to show for his eco early on and never built ground units. His eco then never got above 600 and was extremely weak into late game. He turtled and went pure air but didn't expand his eco. Every asswasher he lost it was harder to replace till he couldnt. Also his team donated so much mass as we saw... Just throwing crabs and asswashers to the other team to hoover up
Yeah, that huge mass advantage and nothing done with it. Way too many Ahwassas after they'd already started spamming AA -- that was a great time to switch to arty, or something, against which all that AA would have been wasted mass.
I always love hearing about why your dog is upset. It's right up there with Willow's "oh no! it's a disaster!"
Fantastic game; so many experimentals and nukes and Scathis. I cannot tell you how much I hate the Novax, so I'm glad they weren't spammed too much. There should really be some way to shoot them down. Or just make it an ability that lets you pin-point anywhere on the map with a powerful laser with an aoe explosion finisher every few minutes.

As for Novax: it's basically an alternative heavy artillery piece. Unlimited range, slow to aim, limited damage, destroy the "artillery piece" (i.e. center) itself to take it out.
Love your casts Gyle, not a good player myself but these replays help me a lot!

55:30 - RegalEagle mobs MACRO's ASFs after distracting with the fighter-bombers. (And trouncing Snakebit's hero ahwassa.)
58:16 - RegalEagle sends in massive air fleet to mop up Earwicker's ASFs.
And 1:02:25, 1:06:52, 1:17:51 RegalEagle's been Ctrl-K-ing the ahwassas to crash them into the SMDs. That's where its health went. It's not a miss, he hit the target, and the nukes fly a little later. (Except the second one, that was a really painful sacrifice for nothing.)
The megalith part killed me. Like, it's right there on the fucking screen.
Yeah, those ahwassas ended up being mass donations as much as anything, since the nukes really didn't do that much in the end.

That nuke in the SW must have been under a forgetting field or something. Multiple Scathis, Novax, T3 Bomber on the field for Team 2 and it got no attention at all even as it rolled up the southern flank.
I've been playing this game on and off since it came out. This is the first time I've ever actually watched a competitive round of it. And God damn. That was riveting. Quite a few things I didn't even know where in the game

Much as I love the stream I also am quite invested in the thrilling adventure that is your dog's life, he's truly live through much heartache. Hope he finds that lottery ticket soon and makes it big!

I wish StarCommander had tele-masered the south western nuke launcher instead of attempting an attack on the main base of Kammer. By the way, Star probably died to a Megalith, which had been constructed in the base.

Have you checked out Beyond All Reason yet? It's very much like Total Annihilation modernised, super epic gameplay just like Supreme Commander but often a lot faster!
This is one of those where the reverse in fortunes was somewhat predictable, otherwise it wouldn't have been casted. The big intrigue is in how this was turned around.
Usually an advantage for one team is enough to snowball into victory. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way. And those games tend to be the most entertaining to watch.
I never mind the dog barking, I just always want to know why he's barking😂

Snakebite and black was the one with Guinness in it if I remember right. My mate used to drink the Green monster version which was made with Snakebite and blue curacao. I remember him being sick one night on it and it looked like it was radioactive... Ahh the good old days with disposable income and no commitments :D
In my day the 'black' was a shot of blackcurrant concentrate (like Ribena).

around 54 mins, potentially, yellows whole air contingent goes south for the asswasher, drawing the entire air wings of both blues south to block, then he breaks off a large detachment to keep them interested, then sends in juuuuust enough to with a bit of luck kill the asswasher, necessitating both blues engage, while the rest of the detachment flys back to meet up with the rest of the air force flying north to link up with the ground strike air wings, meanwhile the asshwasher doesn't die which means cyan leaves his there to protect, FEARFUL that yellow might try again, splitting their combined air forces. Meanwhile yellow idles his fighters to let the bombers go in first to draw in blue, who takes the bait but quickly retreats, only to re-engage a little early, eager of cyans asf's pending interception, a frantic battle ensues when orange dynamically enters the party and the fight for air control, for asswasher or asswashee reaches a crescendo. Just after the nuke lands you can see team 2's combined manly strength mopping up some of the last remnants of team 1's hopes for air in the near future. and then, to the joyous cheers of the surviving civilians the CAS flies in.... im at 56:10, sorry i've been working sports bx all week.

That's the most bizarre recipe for a snakebite I've ever heard, must be a Brit thing. A snakebite is about an ounce of whiskey, half an ounce of lime juice, and a few drops of hot sauce in a shotglass.

Snakebite when I was a student was cider and any beer - which didn't have to be stout. I have fond memories of friends throwing up after drinking a few pints of it.

I love watching these replays, however having not played much supreme commander, I'm mostly unaware of what the units/buildings do. It would be greatly beneficial if you can explain during the replays what each unit does, its strengths and weaknesses. I mean it is pretty clear overall, but I do not know the nifty little details that pro players may know. Thanks, and amazing stuff
He has an older video series that does exactly that. Would take too long to try explains any of it in a cast.

I was wondering how tf this could get to epic. Then at around 30 min I saw. Team 1 are terrible at building and handling their units. I know this is mostly a macro game, but you can't just stand your units on the front and play sim city. And that red commander. Where was his overcharge? How long does it take to build some or ask your allies for help?
Team 1 with a terrible kd 45:45 because they let their troops just stand in enemy fire. Like 3 different armies

Just a thought; I am a member of FAF and have downloaded a few mods. I usually play with AI. But lately the AI has been harder. I play against Rush AI. Is it so that harder AI has been implemented all over the board?
Is there a possibility to get a pov gameplay from a player? I've never seen this game played from a player's perspective
JaggedAppliance does those I think and others, maybe look at his and gyle's channel info on "channel" tab for other casters/players
