Hugo, it was a pleasure to finally meet you! Thank you again for having me on and I hope we can do it again soon.
Grazie mille Teddy and see you soon for some new exciting adventures! Cheers, Hugo
Great to see you here, Teddy. Very good selection in this price bracket. The Nomos is probably my pick of the bunch, together with the Omega Constellation.
@@SARTORIALTALKS Dear Hugo, I Loved Loved Loved This video.... Not because of the watches only but also because I follow you both. Hugo you should now infect Teddy with your amazing sense of sprezzatura. So we have another convert into the sartorial world. Love you both
@@taimurchoudhry. Thank you Taimur, All my best; Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS It's interesting when Teddy talks about how a mechanical watch can last more than a lifetime but, at 48:30 mentions its hard to get parts for a 1960s Omega. 🤔🙃
It’s wonderful to see those two worlds come together ! Wow ! Two different channels but amazing chemistry. Merci Monsieur Jacomet pour cet épisode original et très pertinent.
Avec grand plaisir cher Antoni. Amicalement, Hugo
Hugo, your comment is so correct. In America, the culture is to de-emphasize a person’s name, to try to reduce a name to a single syllable. But i really like your view point, maybe the old world view point, of savoring the pronunciation of a name. One can say, by paying attention to a name, by taking your time to pronounce it correctly, you also give respect to that person. It's a very nice and pleasant way.
Well said Jack, All my best, Hugo
Loved the chemistry between Hugo and Teddy here. It reminds me of how fun it is to meet up with fellow hobbyists or when you invite your friends to try out the things you like. I mean this as the best of compliments but Hugo is like the hip uncle you can get along with!
Thanks for the compliment! Cheers, Hugo
I love this collaboration between two of my favorite influencers on style and watches: two of my top passions.
We are so glad to read this ❤️. Best, Hugo
Thank you for including such a wide variety of pricing. Good for everyone from beginners to collectors.
With pleasure Michael, Hugo
I love this collaboration. Totally agree with your selection at the end.
Thank you very much Patrick! Best, Hugo
A man of culture, I see :)
I can't believe it, with Teddy! I'm a huge watch collector, been watching both of your channels for years in fact Hugo you really made one of the absolute best watch-related videos where you showed Phillipe Dufour's Simplicity and your watch if I remember was a Laurant Ferrier, my favorite brand of all. Those are not well known watches, you are clearly a true collector and its GREAT to see you two get together. Cheers!
Thank you very much Nef for your enthusiasm. All my very best wishes, Hugo
I love my An Ordain and was lucky enough to visit the studio in Glasgow ,Scotland to make my selection. A thoroughly unique watch from talented, and friendly people.
Lucky man! Yours Aye, Hugo
I'm on the list for next April. (Approximately)
I wish I could see the options, in person, prior to making a choice.
I don't think online does it credit
@@thomashelm6931 Having seen au grand feu dials in person, I can attest. They are spectacular in life. Moser has a few nice dials as well. Hugo had an instant attraction and it's charming to see
Teddy is the ref in watch world. Professional, kind and humble. Always a pleasure.
Thanks Didier, Cheers, Hugo
Teddy speaks so clearly and well expressed. Love how his passion and knowledge has made him. Very admirable how much he knows and how he shares his knowledge
The pair of you are phenomenal presenters.
Such enthusiasm welcoming viewers into spheres of expression with enticements of intrigue.
Well done.
Many thanks for your kind words Andrew, Hugo
I am 60 YO. When I was around 12 I saved some money and bought an Orient. Today I would consider it horrible but back then I was in love with the watch in the window of this store. The watch said “water resistant” and it fogged the first time I washed my hands. Back then (48 years ago) Orient was a Mickey Mouse Brand.
Orient is not a premium brand, but I wouldn't it horrorible.
A superb video , Hugo. I’ve come from a Teddy Baldassarre direction, a singularly impressive man in how quickly he’s turned into a go to guy for watch reviews since 2017…..remarkable! I just loved the interaction between you two guys, thank you.
this was FUN !!! I have never heard of Hugo before but thank you Teddy for introducing him to us. This was a blaast...
Many thanks Gene, and welcome to Sartorial Talks. Hugo
I have been following both Teddy and Satorial Talks since their respective channels began. Glad to see this collaboration. Good luck to both of you.
Many thanks Keith. Cheers, Hugo
Great video 😊 I’d add that there are some spectacular high-end quartz watches in this range via Grand Seiko. Even with nice mechanical watches in your collection, it’s a treat to have a lovely quartz option on your dresser. It will ticking away and telling the right time when you are in a hurry to get out the door!
Glad you also included watches that are not just super expensive for regular folks wallets.
Loving the energy of the sartorial talks host.
Thank you sir! Hugo
enjoyed this. lots of respect to teddy for putting in watches that arent available on his site. hes always on point. and you as well!
Thank you Jason! Cheers, Hugo
Another Excellent episode. Thank you Gents!
Long time fan of Orient, Mido, Oris, Longines. Happy to see them all represented :).
You are very welcome sir! Cheers, Hugo
This was a wonderful surprise. Watching two gents I greatly admire talking about something I have a strong passion and interest in. Bravo 👏
The pleasure is ours! All the best, Hugo
I have watched the video about five times, from time to time I come back to practise the pronunciation of some clocks, it provides a highly valued level of sophistication. Extremely relaxing and explanatory.
I've recently started watching Sartorial talks but have been watching Teddy for a while. Love seeing two of my interests merge.
Many thanks! Hugo
This video is so great to see you both together, I have been following both of you for a long time
Thank you John! Hugo
Amazing video from two of my favorite content creators. Please do this again!
This was a fantastic episode!! I have followed both channels for quite a while now, and seeing you all work together is just a treat to see (similar to when you collaborated with Trent and Heath on shoes recently). That said, the AnOrdain watches are absolutely amazing!!!!
Many thanks sir for your kind words, Hugo
Awesome to finally see you make a video with teddy! That's wonderful. Sprezzatura you two have an amazing chemistry together on screen. I love that. I knew from the start you both would get along and nerd out in such a way that highlights your passions and finesse. Bravo!
Many thanks for your message of encouragement! Cheers, Hugo (and Teddy).
I love these two guys who are clearly bright with a genuine love of watches, who expound the benefits regardless of price point. I loved it when Hugo picked up the Bambino and marveled at it for what it was! The Rolex for those in the trenches.
What's up Hugo...welcome to our hometown!! And Teddy is one of us. I watch both of you and rock on!!
Thank you Sir, Cleveland is a nice city indeed! Cheers, Hugo
A very enjoyable video. A quick thank you to Teddy, whose friend i feel i have been for some years, and a new friend Hugo, a man of infinite taste. Cheers!

Hugo couldn't control his excitement to catch hold of the watches from Teddy! ❤️
😂😂
Loved this, two of my favorite channels!
Many thanks Randall! Best, Hugo
Thank you so much! Finally we can see you in another video. A month felt so long without watching a video of yours.
Best regards, monsieur Jacomet and Sonya.
Many thanks Kevin! Cheers, Hugo & Sonya
What a great nexus or confluence of meetings. What a wonderful exchange and have been a fan of both Hugo and Teddy for awhile. I’m sure a dinner and spouses were involved, as both men have great women behind them!
Thanks Robert, you're very kind. Yours, Hugo
Merci Hugo. Cheers. Florent.
Merci beaucoup Florent. Teddy est fantastique ! Amicalement, Hugo
Best collab of 2022. I'm calling it!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏
YES! Two of my favorite gentlemen CZcamsrs! Finally Hugo is talking watches! Let's, well, watch it! :D
Yes Paulo, let's watch indeed! Best, Hugo

Thank you sir, Cheers, Hugo
Great introduction. A classy watch selection, with two very classy gentlemen.
Thank you sir. Cheers, Hugo
Epic collaboration Gentlemen...THANK YOU!!
With pleasure sir. All the best, Hugo
Another great suit and tie choice Hugo. The wide labels also look great.
Great episode! I have a mixed history with watches. I love them. Then I don't. I'm back to 'love' again. 🙂 My favorites were the same ones you chose Hugo. You definitely prefer watches that have a vintage vibe to them. The Orient Bambino is absolutely lovely. The brand itself has some amazing and classic styles.
Be well!
I love this channel, and this episode comes at a great time, as I'm looking to add a decent watch to my wardrobe. Thanks for what you do.
You are very welcome David. Best! Hugo
Was there a thing mentioned in the video that caught your eye?
@@the_9ent The Orient and the Seiko surprised me. I was already looking at a Tissot.
Tissot Le Locle was my first watch I purchased with my own money. Beautiful little thing. I'm glad I still keep it alongside my newer luxury watch.
Le Locle is a beautiful watch (and affordable for the quality). All my best, Hugo
Awe man this is amazing im subscribe to both of these taste makers kudos to Hugo & teddy to conect in this vid
Thank you Tay! Cheers, Hugo
Such an interesting video, the hour flew by. Thank you.
You're very welcome Graham! Have a beautiful weekend, Hugo
This collab is amazing. You should definitely do another one.
Thank you André! Hugo
Very enjoyable & informative.
Thank you for nice video, and for the explanation of Presage! I happen to own that Presage with blue dial and steel bracelet, but have to say the variant shown in video is also beautiful.
Many thanks Josef. Cheers, Hugo
Great colab and content!!! Subbed to both Gents.
Many thanks Cesar! Cheers, Hugo
That tie is absolutely beautiful.
Perfect collaboration!!! Bravo!
Thanks Jimmy! Cheers, Hugo
Very familiar with Teddy's watch channel, so thank you for having him guest host. By the way Hugo, love the new hair look!
Thank you sir. All my best, Hugo
Merci Hugo pour ce bel épisode avec Teddy Baldassarre !
Avec joie cher Vincent! Hugo
Wow wasn’t expecting this collab. This made my day 😊
Thank you so much! Cheers, Hugo
This is awesome content and timely, too, as I am looking for a nice new watch. Hugo, I love that tie!
Many thanks Jason! Cheers, Hugo
Oh fantaaaastic episode!!! I knew it was a good PRÉSAGE when I saw the teaser! :D
😂😂 un heureux présage. Cheers, Hugo
la rencontre des génies: 2 channels that I love in one video. In the world of Marketing it is what we called Guest Authority. Fantastic content.
Merci beaucoup Antoine, Amicalement, Hugo
Teddy's comments about the appeal of mechanical timepieces are excellent.
I have been waiting for this episode since you posted it on Instagram last month that you are doing a collab with Teddy. This episode is so good, i hope to see more collab please.
Thank you Georgie for your enthusiasm and your support. All my best wishes, Hugo
This episode is expertly done and I love the collaboration of two of my favorite you tubers. I will say this as it needs to be said. The watch gods are cruel and we are it's play things. As a lot of the people reading this comment. We have instantly fallen completely in love with the anOrdain model 1. The waitlist is 3 years and is currently locked so, no new orders can be made. I have stopped ugly crying but, its taken a day or two.
Wonderful conversation, subscribed!
Thank you sir and welcome in our community. Cheers, Hugo
subscribed! stumbled upon this channel and i'm liking the content
Thank you sir and welcome! Cheers, Hugo
Thank you, Teddy for another great video. I loved that vintage Omega Constellation so I went on a hunt a found one! I bought it, but it was significantly more expensive than the price range you gave in the video. The seller is a reputable shop, but I hope I didn't overpay.
Dear James, in my humble opinion if it's a reputable shop, you are safe. All the best, Hugo
Thanks gentleman for the conversation. It's interesting to see what the entry level luxury brands are offering. There's lots of good brands out there for second hand prices.
Indeed Lachlan! Cheers, Hugo
I just subscribed, that was great. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you and welcome! Cheers, Hugo
Giacometti? Great! Glad to see Hugo what you show to me. Thanks.
Prego! Hugo
What a nice collaboration with Teddy. Thank you for that, Hugo! You might want to check out other historic models by Oris. My 36mm Big Crown Pointer Date is one of the mainstays in my collection and bridges the gap between formal and informal effortlessly, while the basic design of the watch remained largely unchanged since its inception in 1932.
Cheers and greetings from Germany
Thank you my friend for your encouraging words. I will take a look at the Oris historic models for sure. Cheers from Bourgogne France, Hugo
I was thinking what watch I should buy for my dad. Oris Big Crown in 36mm sounds really intriguing. Thank you!
Such a lovely collab!
I follow both of you and this is wonderful. I like the Mido because its so thin at 6.5 mm. Incredibly thin. Hugo knows clothes like we know watches. Great video!
Thank you so much David for your kind words. Cheers, Hugo
Two of my favorite CZcams hosts!
😎🥂
I love the Anordain model 1 plum fumé. Simply fantastic colour.
Amazing video, great collaboration.
Thank you very much Brendon! Cheers, Hugo
This was an excellent video. Always glad to explore various types of luxurious watches.
Good day, Morgan W. Mann.
Thanks Morgan and happy Easter, Hugo
Ha, just as I was looking for a quality watch to compliment the rest of my style. Right now I only have a 50 year old watch my grandfather left to me, and it sparked my interest in watches. Excellent timing and thank you, Hugo.
With great joy Regis! Best, Hugo
Great video. Thank you!
With pleasure my friend. Cheers, Hugo
Whoa. I wasn't expecting to see the Omega. I have my dad's 1950s Constellation in rose gold with a honeycomb or crosshatch dial... for lack of a better term. The Mido is a nice watch for the price and would love a vintage Datoday Commander. The Baume & Mercier is beautiful and the Hamilton... of course. Nice selection of wrist watches.
Anordain produces some exceptional watches, with dial that feel almost 3-dimentional. Great choice. As someone who loves Seiko Presage watches, I wanted to say that the Presage Cocktail watches start at the low end of the Presage series, with prices going well north of there. I seriously desire a Presage Sharp-Edged watch, which has a dial that has a design based on a 1000 year old textile design of hemp leaves. The design reflects light from many directions, producing a mesmerizing play of light across the dial. I particularly like the white, the emerald green, and the blue dials (they also offer a beautiful burgundy red, a brown, and a black dial as well). The watches takes quite a few design and finish details from Grand Seiko. Prices runs from MSRP $1000 - $1400 USD. But this is not the end of the Presage line. They also offer some that have very traditional Japanese enamels and another that has a dial made of Arita porcelain (spectacular dress watch). They also offer several with the Grand Seiko Spring Drive movement. The Presage series tops out about $4500 USD, so slightly extend beyond the lower price quartz Grand Seikos.
Many thanks dear John for sharing your knowledge and experience. All my best regards, Hugo
Thoroughly enjoyed this ❤️✨✌🏼
Thank you very much, Hugo
Very interesting episode connecting the sartorial and the horological worlds. Nice conversation between the two of you. An idea for another collaboration would be to take a subset of the watches reviewed by Teddy Baldassare and have Hugo Jacomet discuss how and when he would use them. Also how he would pair them with different straps.
Excellent idea. Thanks Marcos! Hugo
YESSSS!! Teddy, trenton and heath... Love where this is going!!
Many thanks Tomas! All the best, Hugo
Sitting here watching this video, working from home in a dirty sweater and a Omega seamaster 2236.50on my wrist so I don't feel very saritorial right now but excellent video, I follow you both! Also, far too few channels focuses on dress watches.
Thank you sir. Nice watch! Cheers, Hugo
Fascinating conversation.
Thanks so much, Edward ! Best, Hugo
Wow two of my favorite people I've learned so much from both of you sartorially from you mister Hugo jacomy and so much about watches from you teddy baldassarre wow
Thanks for your kind words Ernest! Cheers, Hugo
Glad to see another video, what a pleasure.
I also wanted to thank you, i made my first suit thanks to you and it is beautiful.
Thank you.
Toutes mes félicitations Gauthier ! Hugo
Didn't expect you to bring up Baltic , a very underrated French microbrand. I personally own two of their sector dials and really love them alot
Yes Thomas, I agree with you, Baltic is one of the good surprises of the last years. All my best, Hugo
