    Doesn't work for me. Chat settings never show up. Has to be something with Carrier Services, because when I try to force stop it looks like they aren't doing anything and when try to clean cache it is in 0 kb. But Google Messages RCS works fine...

    So, for whatever reason it decides to stop working can I send/receive normal texts still? Hopefully it works on my S20 ultra (t-mobile)

      Yes. In Chat settings there should be an option where you can set if RCS or normal SMS are default.

    Hello, I got the rcs chat features on my settings now but they don't work. I have followed all steps as follows with the snapdragon version but it's still not working. Do I have to wait 8days for it work?

    Can I put my phone default back to Samsung?
    Also how can you tell if you're on your carriers RCS or Google? Does it say somewhere?

      Yes, you can!
      You will have to test with someome who has Google Messages installed.

    So, I have a s10+ and I've been using the messages app forever. Out of nowhere the RCS on both googles messages and samsung stopped working. Not only that but my messages did not send at all. I everything from restarting, uninstaling, clearing data/cache. Now it says chat feature is unavailable for my phone and says registration failed.When chat feature is available it doesnt go past verifying my ph#. The connected sign does not show up

    I have a Note 20 ultra that I got from Samsung and I was on sprint which is now Tmoble and they gave me a tmoblie sim card for this phone. Well the Note 20 I was told does not have the RCS feature on it so I did the *#*#467 and it worked until an update that I did on January first. Now I cant even get any RCS and I cant even get into the settings after the update any suggestions

      @@BredzPro I finally got this to work *#77467# the only thing I see is the RCS only. I switch the tmobile rcs and did all the other stuff but it did not work. I tried to follow what prokoph did and couldn't follow it. It was working before the update.

    I get it enabled (S21 Ultra G998U1 on Cricket Wireless), but it doesn't seem to actually work. It just toggles on and off without actually doing anything. Any ideas?

    Hey so I did this last update and the rsc wont work i know every update meses with the rcs but usually i turn it back on and it works this time it has not turned back on and i have falliwed all the steps. Can you find a way to fix this pleaaaase!

    I followed the steps exactly like 5 times, and I get the 'chat settings' menu, but the chat settings don't actually work. Please don't say Samsung patched it because they only patched the Dialer code. I got into ims settings with Alliance Sheild X instead of the Google Phone. But do you have any idea why I would get the chat settings menu in Samsung Messages settings, but then no chat features? I feel like it is trying to connect with carrier RCS instead of Google Jibe, and yes, I did do the device reboot. Please help. Thanks in advance.

      It must be the carrier not letting Samsung Messages use the Google Jibe service.

      Yeah, but I thought this method didn't rely on carrier RCS; I thought it used the Google Jibe RCS, so it wouldn't matter if the carrier supported/allowed RCS on their end.

    after the software update, it appears on my message setting. Chat messages and then ask for registration then whenever i click it stop. why is that? why is it even there in the first place and have to download another apps to work it out

    On my S21 Ultra Unlocked in Tmobile it says my carrier does not support chat features.
    EDIT: Ok, now it's connected, but the code to enter de hidden menu is not working.

      Did you make sure to set Samsung Messages as default, before turning RCS in IMS Settings? If not, it will deactivate it.

    Does this mean i cant customize my messaging app with new themes? It appeared to be the same color scheme as google messenger. Also does the google phone app take over my regular phone app?

      It would only activate RCS massaging. This method is outdated as of today.
      I am making a video regarding the new Google Messages that is being developed with the One UI theme (check pinned comment for more).

      They're already implementing the Material You design (which follows your system's theme colours).
      Yeah, Samsung actually accepted that Google Messages is superior, thus they are developing their own version of Google Messages. (In some regions the Galaxy S21 comes with Google Messages as default).

    Advanced messaging is already on my Galaxy A01 . I don't understand how it picks who can have iChat with. My girl has same phone as me and service but we can't iChat together. I understand your method and want to do it but I may as well just download Google messages, Less work.

      However, I personally suggest using Google Messages from now on.
      Looks like Samsung is discontinuing Samsung Messages and developing a One UI Google Messages version. I will show you how to install this special version, so look forward to a new video! :)

      I watched that, but that’s basically a reskinned google messages and my main reason for not switching is because google messages is too zoomed in and I can’t zoom it out enough to be like Samsung messages.

      That's weird. I did some research and found only these solutions:
      1. Don't copy-paste it. Write it.
      2. Make sure that after the numbers it's #*#* (not *#*#). So, * # * # 467 # * # *
      If it doesn't work, it may be your carrier blocking you from accessing it. Could you try it with another carrier's SIM?

    I don't get it. What added features do you get when you enable RCS? You didn't say.
    And why does it say "ENTER CHAT MESSAGES" instead of "ENTER MESSAGES"?

      If you are familiar with iMessages, it enables iMessages-like features where you can chat with your friends via Internet (and not SMS only).
      If you aren't familiar with it, imagine WhatsApp but you have the choice between sending a message via the internet or SMS when no internet available.
      "Enter chat messages" is just a way to distinct whether RCS in on or not. If it's off, then you are sending a message only via SMS.

    A whole video about... how you can't make Samsung Messages work with RCS in Android 11. The *#77467# code doesn't bring up the IMS Service switch. At least not on my Unlocked US S20 5G (Snapdragon).

      I updated my pinned comment informing that since One UI 3.0, Samsung doesn't allow accessing the IMS Menu in Snapdragon devices. I will update you asap when I find a solution!

      Hmm. I can access the IMS on my unlocked US S20. But after following all steps, it didn't work. But my carrier, Visible (VZW MVNO) doesn't support RCS via the carrier

      Judging from the other comments, it's different for everyone. Depending on your carrier it may work or not.
      If the method on the video doesn't work then unfortunately your carrier or Samsung is probably preventing RCS from working on your device.

      Samsung is actually replacing Samsung Messages with Google Messages. They are already developing a custom One UI version of it.

    Open an samsung account.....mine was not working until I opened an account...
    It is their strategy to make people open an account..I am on one ui 4.1 and RCS is working smoothly on galaxy f22

    Update:
    Samsung is discontinuing Samsung Messages and developing a custom One UI version of Google Messages with RCS support. Some Galaxy S21 device already have it. For the other devices I have uploaded a video showing how to install this custom version.

      I can get into IMS Settings using *#77137# only in the Samsung dialer but still can't get into it using the Google one. Ugh. S21 ultra snapdragon.

      @@BredzPro so on T-Mobile note 20 ultra Android 11 I can access the ims menu via *#77467# via the Samsung dialer app, but it only shows T-Mobile RCS

      @@BredzPro I didn't try to force activate RCS Cuz I know T-Mobile supports it, but my point is, T-Mobile didn't block the ims hidden menu even on Android 11.

    Oh lord, I thought it would be "Go into settings and turn this on". But it is basically install this, install that, get a degree in software engineering, change this, change that. :) I love my S21, but will likely be going back to iphone when the iphone 14 comes out. Most of my friends use iphones and it feels like I am back in the early 2000s when I get a picture through a text message that looks all pixelated.

      @@BredzPro And that sucks man, I love how customizable my S21 is. The on screen fingerprint scan is just so sweet, specially when wearing a mask.
      But this bs of not having a decent messaging system built into the phone is just kinda of a dealbreaker for me.

      Also after the stable version of Android11 this won't work. None of the dialer codes or anything. If I force stop Google messages it does work. But I don't want to use google as a default message app. So I'm back to square 1. But if anyone wants to use Google messages and wants to enable RCS easily just FORCE STOP the app and when you hit open it will show you the options in a message upon opening the app. Ok hopefully I can get it on samsung messages soon. It worked during beta.. and so did WiFi calling. Lost both.🤬🤬✌️

      Yes, it has become very random. It will work for some people, and it won't for some other people.

      I have noticed that on mine too. It happens when you, or the person you're chatting with, lose internet connection.
      It may be a placebo, but this works for me:
      I go to Chat settings where it says Connecting... Wait for 1min. Then close the app from recents and open it again. Check on Chat settings and it'll say Connected.

    All these companies using Android OS should just stop doing too much. They should use the Android messaging app, dialer, file, note, and others. All they need do is come up with a launcher and other non core android apps like Samsung ganes. I like Xiaomi. They use the google messaging app and dialer. Although they put their own file and notes app
