Not really, just can't get much of the same movement, and also unsure of if it's legal. Gotta check state laws
This video is a real bummer. Some of us target carp on the fly or otherwise cause they are incredibly hard fighting fish.

Why not fish for them with a rod and reel? Its not wasteful and they fight hard. Common carp are a resource not targets.
