I was a cat person until I got my Yellow Lab. Wow, what a game changer. He passed away last July but I told him everyday... 'You are the Best Dog Ever , I love you Butters.' Labs Are the best dogs and if your looking for the best family dog then this is it.

I used to have a yellow lab. She was the smartest dog I've ever had. I cried ugly tears when she passed. Now I have a black lab and she's also very smart. They're quick to learn and also good protection. In my 70 years, I've had an array of different breed dogs. They were all very special to me.

@@AlphaCentauri2 Don't get a female one. Depending on your nose and the dog, they can smell really bad during mating season. Also there is always a risk, that she gets pregnant. You can never let her unattended outside etc.

@@AlphaCentauri2 Golden Retriever and labrador have basically the same personalities. They are both very open minded, curious, gentle, playful, very interactive etc.
The only real difference is the fur. Golden Retriever have longer and more soft fur, than a labrador.

A german shepherd is a little more dangerous. He can bite more easily than the other 2 dogs and there is a reason, why the german police uses this breed the most for their special "dog unit".
I don't know anything about pomeranians.

A study in austria shows, that german shepherds bites (attacks) 5 times as much as a golden retriever and there is a part in switzerland, where you need to show a criminal record and a character test for the dog to the authorities, because you need their approval, before buying a german shepherd :D

Labs are indeed wonderful dogs. My grandparents had a black lab named Ike, he was my best friend as a child, then we had a golden retriever named sunshine. Our babysitter was an old English sheepdog. And now I have a black Labrador German shepherd mix. Best of both worlds

Yea my 5 month old lab is very cute… when he sleeps. My puppy is a 4 legged piranha when he is awake. I walk him on hour walks to reduce his energy but he is still extremely energetic. With that said, he is extremely intelligent too intelligent he learned how to escape his crate.

I love all dogs but especially Labs. We are on our fifth one Dixie a sweet yellow one. Outr girl Onyx who is black is 12 years old and still going strong. Our first was Foxy who lived to 14. She was a sweetie. She was the best. Next came our first black lab Otto. I used to call him Big O for short. He was the gentlest dog we eve had. Lived to 12 years. We just lost our third Lab Chase who was black last October he lived to ripe old age of 15. Boy was he ever a food hound. He was great dog also. They all had their own personality. We loved them all, and miss the ones who made the journey over the rainbow. I'm sure I will see them again whenever it's my turn to go.

We have a cross between A Fox Red and A Golden, beautiful colour, 5 months old now, I remember those cute days lol, remember they grow, and chew everything including your fingers. So much fun though watching her grow and developing.

Thank you for sharing. I have a Labrador. His name is Coco and he already 6 years old. I have him since he was 8 days. I love him so much. He is a spoil guy. My daughter and I do that. Right now he is in a 2 Weeks Boot Camp for Dogs and he is coming home this Thursday morning. I can wait to see him. They are the best Dogs ever. He receive a lot of complements for being so lovely and wonderful with kids and people around.

This brings back so many happy memories for me! Remembering how traumatized they were when they were pooping (old enough to realize something was HAPPENING OMG 😱 at their hinny region)! Absolutely terrified but only the first time when they realized they survived! Sooo cute!

These babies are so adorable.I have Chiefs identical twin Cooper who will be 7 on May 15th,my kids had to get him cause of Cheify they fell in love with him as soon as Dawson put him on Facebook.Every day after school they had to see Chief,that's why we Love Dawson so much.We wouldn't of got Cooper if he didn't look just like Chief.❤❤

I saw her being born and opening her eyes and I took her home and she was the best dog ever to me. I do not like people that much because of my ptsd so she was my best friend for almost 13 years. My first dog was a beautiful beauty like these.... Died after developing epilepsy when she was only 5 years old.... Cried for weeks.... Dont know if I'm gonna get the courage get another one in my life again. Their lifespan is so short and it's pretty tough when they pass away....
sorry for your loss, lost my Kelpie a week ago after 12 years--been brutal but she gave me so much I am trying to honor all her gifts by being a better man. Keep loving the dogs, people, we need them and they need us :)

Love love ❤ labs. We've had them in all colors. They are such a joy. Garcia, Katie Mae,Ruby and Bubba are all in doggy heaven. Miss them sooooo much. We now have Anna Marie. She's a beautiful black lab who'll be 2 this July.
It's a year in March that our Blossom passed and we miss her so much and I still cry over her passing.
We've had two Labs and we have been very fond of them. They trained us as much as we trained them!!!! No cuter puppy in the universe!!!!
Nice to see em so young. My experience is older black and yellow labs. Great dogs. My cousin in spain had a black lab, saw them once a year. Dam lab would remember me years later and recognize the old bimmer. Cousin sold the lab, went to see samba at his new owners. Samba remembered me and ignored the new owner.. samba was tied to a chain when I met him .. walked him in a month to the point a 4 year old could walk him. Had to train the young uns lol

I have a litter of 7 Fox Red Labs, hard work but so adorable, I love them to bits and will miss them in a week's time when they go to their new homes. Until then I will get as many cuddles and kisses from them as possible.
We had had 3 Fox red labs in our 51 years of marriage, wonderful loving dogs.

In a 20 acre field can Lab go over the hill over 800 yards and round up 43 ewes and the drive them back to you feet with just two commands. Rough collies rule and Lbs just drool! And yeah my collies having gone into 40 F degree ponds to herd ducks. My boy can point on game birds and tell me when Grubhub is at the door.
I'm looking for a wagon such as this, for whenever we have a litter and need to take them to the vets office. It needs to have wheels that can be collapsed (for when we're in the car), a handle to lead the wagon by & higher walls (so they can't escape). It should also be able to fit in the backseat of most compact cars.
I figure a wagon such as yours, in terms of dimensions, should fit nicely in the back seat of most compact cars & hold up to 12 puppies (although it would be very crowded!). I'm always on the lookout for anything that makes that trip to the vet (for our newborn pups) a lot easier. :)

They make me wonder what my dogs life as a puppy wad like. She wad found on the side if the road covered in ticks with her sister... she is now 9 years old and we dont know what breed she is but ge assume some mix of tunnle dogs and little barky thing but we wouldnt live without her. She still acts like these lab puppies tho :)

Labs are very playful and friendly. Very gentle and patient with kids. But if they don’t get enough playtime they can chew up pretty much anything in the house shoes, sofa, clothes etc
We used to own a labrador. I was in my early 20s. I wanted a Schaefer and my sisters wanted another dog. I did not get the chance to be with my family when they went out to find a dog. They came home with a labrador. ..The first day I was disappointed, but she was too charming to not love. It makes me emotional just to think of her. We took her to a dog competion once, she got third placre, reason was she was wagging her tail a bit too high. But it was impossible to not see that she was a beautiful dog.
One peculiar thing was that she did not grow very big compared others labradors I've seen in life and online. And when walking outside with her people would say: "What a beautiful puppy!". I had reply "She is not a puppy, she is 10 years old". One time the veterarian in my country called and ask if they could bring her to a a daily morning tv show that focused on dogs that day. One thing that bothers me is that I can not find that clip online and I doubt it is even uploaded online (Norway, God morgen norge).
One thing I did not agree with..The person that sold her to us asked if we would allow her to have puppies, but parents said no. Thinking about it now is kind of sad, because I have never seen labrador as cute ever in my life (Ok, I know we all think of our own pets as the best in the world...but I had dogs before...but she was special).
