FAQs/Why would they do that?! Answers
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver damn is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.
10. We hope that you enjoy our videos and will keep coming back for more! Any other questions you have feel free to ask in the comments.

Amazing job ladies! But when mom said pull my finger... I almost died. All i could imagine was her waders puffing up!
😂
😅
😂😂 same!
😂😂😂
Remember ladies don’t release beaver dams in the winter and this includes Beaverlodges
You two are amazing .. Keep up the GREAT work..
Good job ladies you make a great team!
Mama asking for help to get her glove off "Pull my finger" LOLOL I love it.
Nice work you do preventing flood, keep it up. Enjoying your vids. Regards from Sweden.
Your alls relationship is beautiful! I lost my Mom 13 years ago and your videos always help me remember the great times I had with my Mom. Thank You!!
That’s sweet of you to say and we are sorry for your loss.
Wow, that was a huge dam! You ladies could compete in the Highland Games caber toss! Those were huge sticks and rocks.
I second that on a nice job. You two ladies where able to let lots and I mean lots of water pass on that job.
You do an amazing job on all culverts, dams etc. Keep up the good work ladies. 👌
That damn was almost as tall as you two. This is some seriously hard work!
Awesome ladies 👍
This looked like so much fun…you ladies did a great job!👏
Thank you for yet another great video. I guess you need to have a whole checklist of things to explain to all of the couch potatoes who question your hard work. Kudos for answering them with so much respect. ❤
That is Jeremy Clarkson’s nightmare. 😂
Suggestion; put your mic on you hat Jennifer. Another great job y'all!!!
Love you guys! But I think I'm gonna start all my stories with...."so we were driving down this road...." That is mama Kim's signature move.❤
See that why Granny can’t go to Minnesota she needs to keep an eye on you two 😂😂
Thanks for bringing us with you.
Well done, ladies! Great video again ❤
Good idea to get that water flowing first!😊
Love the last segment the most. Stay safe ladies.
Another fantastic breakthrough....Watching from UK 🇬🇧
Brilliant work, stay safe ladies ,watching from UK 🇬🇧
Great job ladies!
Also nice job on the exit camera in fast mode!
Another good job ladies, pay no attention to the negative comments. Your out making great content which they watch, then grizzle about it. Keep doing what you doing. Xx
Agree
Not every dam should be removed .
10:00 I can't think of 1 reason why that primary pond needed to be drained.
If it threatens infrastructure, sure. But that one did not.
It was a road nearby not the road we were driving on that was threatened
Wow, what a workout! Great video, thanks. 😎🇨🇦😎
Another enjoyable video! Great job ladies!
Great job Ladies!!
that was awesome girls
Another great video. ❤️
If a beaver pond isn't causing damage to a road, there is no reason to remove the dam. 🙂 If it is...go for it.
It was
You did a nice job again. :) The ending was the best when the water was rising.
Have you ever got stuck in the mud while working?
🎉 very good work girls. 😊
Ylva Sweden 🇸🇪
Those beavers will have that blocked up very soon. I was surprised that the ladies didn't say they have permission for that. All I heard was they found it while driving around.
County property. Same as culverts that we don’t ask permission for. We know they will block it up probably overnight but that was our intention. We just wanted to drain it some so a road wouldn’t be taken over.
Wowzer, You've worked so hard. Ewww you're brave esp when u know there could be snakes! I'm cowering watching, safe at home! Lol
How the waders going Jen, they look really comfortable - are your feet getting wet?
Cotton mouths, mostly. Not that agressive.
Wow that was an amazing job Kim and Jen !!!!
Dam beavers good work🎉
where I live if you remove or damage a beaver dam without permission of fish & wildlife and the land owner you will be charged !!! Fines can be large and if any damage is done down stream you pay for it !!
You two hit the jackpot! Not very deep but wide. I found Maciej, the destroyer king of dams, of mstech18 checking out your channel a while back. I don’t think he’s ever found a double like you found. Enjoyed the ending scene…👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you…👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Folks just a reminder that if your not satisfied with the camera position you can zoom in with two fingers watching parts of it a little closer. At least you can in an android.
iPhones too :)
Maybe I am wrong but if it was me trying to remove a beaver dam I would start in farthest back part of the dam and work toward the bigger front part to try to get more of it out.
I can just imagine you two doing this in the UK. You'd get shut down by a council health and safety jobsworth because you aren't wearing hi-viz, steel toecap boots, life persever and aren't safety line attached to the bank.
Work on both sides and it will come down faster
Nice job Ladies, working as safe as you feel comfortable dealing with. "Mic scratch" was just your shirt hitting the mic as your arm moved. Still nice work. If you can't take the Dam out totally at least you can be a Pest to the Beaver.
❤❤❤
Keep an eye open for Daniel Arms' baby donkey, please. They lost a 2-week old in the flood.
Alot of these channels always claim for it to be unsafe....i guess i push that to the limit....when i am removing dams the more water that is coming out the more i am in there cause it takes no effort to remove the sticks cause of the flow....i guess in my mind the worst thing that will happen is i get wet and that doesnt bother me at all. Also not saying you have to push safety....take care of yourself.
Well it looks like the beaver dam you were breaking up at first was the secondary pond not the main pond but I’m not finished yet with video if you’re going to try to break up the main pond
Kim the bushes that were you went into at first what are they , got here in North Carolina and such a nuisance
Beaver ponds serve a purpose. Don’t wreck them if they’re not flooding our roads please.
I was just going to put that same thing. They are good for pressing water into the ground. They help with storing ground water also.
They also damage the surrounding land, sometimes farmland.
Still a problem with tool management/safety. Be more aware of tool placement to avoid future inj.
What is the problem with this dam? Was is damaging the road?
There was a farm road near by it was washing out
Don't worry. If it's an active dam the beavers will build it back within a couple of days. 😁 It could also be their secondary dam/pond. All they did was dam management and not removal.
@@culvertsandmore that makes it clear. Good job!!
There doesnt need to be a reason, they decide what they are going to do like you do in your life. Dont tell others what to do or not to do.
Nice job very good you will sleep tonight👍🥱
Do folks ever call y'all to come remove dams
No, there is someone in the area that traps beavers. So they probably just call him.
Good one now you are "The Dambusters"..
what time is it there, its 3,30am, here in the uk..
it was 9:30 pm when you asked
@@culvertsandmore ok, thank you.
Is it snake season yet
Yes it is
Well done! I see @Kenislovas is being challenged to see who can cause the best beaver dam collapse.
eh..he probably has us beat with those awesome collapse ones he does.
@@culvertsandmore We don't have beavers in New Zealand so most Kiwi's unless we see videos from people like him or you two, or @post10 won't appreciate the flooding that beaver dams can cause.
Keep up the great work!
That's not going to drain all the way the damn needed to be deeper
mind in the gutter
should have bothered with these dams, weren't hurting anything but least not alot of damage was done and they'll have it built back up in a day,
They were threatening farm land. We didn’t destroy it completely so all the beavers have to do is build it back overnight.
It’s not always the right thing to remove a beaver dam .
We didn’t remove it. We drained it to save a road. The beavers will be able to build it back overnight.
The beavers are going to be very upset that you pulled holes in their dams and drained their water. But i guess they should've found a waterway father away from the road
You guys need a mini excavator
The way you two ladies throw those rakes around you should start up a landscaping company, you would both be good at sorting out people's land.

😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I always watch you two, and have never doubted your work. You probably feel like you have been piled on for today's video. I understand your reasoning and methods. But, beaver dams are natural resources, and are usually protected except by permission. That dam had probably been there awhile, so why not give the DNR (Wildlife Conservation} a call, before beginning. Of course all states are different....😄🦫
Thanks for bringing us with you.
