The man was part of my childhood..a legend
grew up.watching john craven.he made the news more understanding for us kids
I grew up.watching newsround and swap shop and loved them.
Lovely bloke!
This man should be Knighted, what he did and how he explained some of the most complex current affairs of the time, especially the difficult one’s dealing with war, famine and tragedy. He gave us the news in his reassuring tones, we trusted what he said (and I know there were a few editorial fights about what news he could cover)
Loving this programme! Newsround was the best in my childhood I grew up watching Newsround.
I love John Craven. That is what Jonny Wilkinson will look like in 20 years time.
A well deserved tribute
