I like to see a re-enactment of the shooting case that killed a cop in feb 1989, in tampines. This is in memory of this good dedicated cop. It should illustrate how a polished/lighting fast police coordination between divisional ground men, PTF (back then) and the PTT (also old name) apprehended the gunman suspect within a few hours only. Interviewing a few of the team mates of team A would be interesting.

Why couldn't he be detained in the checkpoint? If he had seriously injured his last victim despite ICA confirming that he has entered Singapore, the police would have a lot of answering to do.

Since first discovering this crime programme here on CZcams a few weeks ago, I must say that I quite like the standard of professionalism demonstrated by the Singaporean police staff. In this episode I was surprised that the criminal was permitted to clear immigration @07:19. Doesn't Singaporean law permit him to be detained right there at the border, say, if a warrant for his arrest had already been in effect?

Even if he get away, he have to go through the checkpoint again than they would just stop him at there.

An explanation could be the front desk custom's officer at that point do not have information on who is a suspect or noti at that point. The back office customs officer has the suspect info.
Q2 why didn't the police waited for the suspect at the check point but instead camped at the suspect's suspected hang out place or Clemenceau? It's higher probability to spot and stop / follow the suspect from the check point police than combing the Clemenceau area.
An explanation could be information from ica may not be passed down to police that fast and the suspect would have left customs before police is informed.
