  • In a world often saturated with perfection-seeking aesthetics and meticulously curated designs, the philosophy of wabi-sabi emerges as a breath of fresh air, celebrating imperfection, impermanence, and the beauty of the incomplete. Originating from Japanese culture, wabi-sabi is more than just a design style; it's a profound approach to life and an aesthetic that captivates with its raw, unrefined allure. Embracing simplicity, authenticity, and the natural essence of things, wabi-sabi has found its way into interior design, offering a tranquil and soulful ambiance within living spaces.

For several million dollars I too could have a stunning house with clerestory windows, strategically placed boulders with monumental water features, and gorgeous scenery right outside my windows❤.

Very nice museum-like places. I like the calmness and the colours and the materials. There is just one thing that is completely wrong. It is the word „imperfection“. Everything here is more than perfect. It even looks like nobody lives in those buildings. I feels like every room in this video is just build to be shown in a video. Not to mention the money which was spent to build up those houses in such remote places. Very imperfect! 😂

It seems as though this home is in a parking garage, or a mall. I'd like to see these designs as they relate to real living spaces.

Thank you for your comment. Finding harmony in an imperfection - is a challenge to a lot of countries and people.

Very nice. But the price for such a house is not minimal and wabi sabi.

Wabi Sabi was actually specifically noted and described by Ken Dahl. It wasn't Japanese, but he had a "japanese" styled home that was suppose to be fengshway. But with it wrong they started the dance party with wabi Sabi. Hahaha.
