Bradley had the day off while Joseph was working in the fly shop. Got a call from one of the longtime guides at Picabo Angler Cody Catherall asking us if we were free to get his new NRS raft wet, and send a "why not" float in very high water. Of course, we will go through some whitewater, and of course, we will bring the fly rods. We set our droppers deep and rocked the heavy tippet tight to the bank. We floated top to bottom of this stretch of river in about 2.5-3 hours, we were COOKIN'. Cody killed it behind the oars and we had a killer day out together catching and releasing some beautiful Idaho Rainbow Trout. We spent the majority of time fishing and less time anchored, so we didn't bring the camera equipment, just rolled the go pros and went fishing. We hope you enjoy these styles of videos just as much as the drone/camera b-roll sectioned videos. They all have a purpose and we are just stoked we can share it all with you guys. Best day of fishing I ever had on the Mo it was muddy and ripping. Mid Cannon campground was flooded. There was water flowing through the Craig campground. Farmed so many 20” rainbows on super deep nymphs and wire worms. Nymphing and fishing worms kinda sucked, but it was incredible as far as numbers go. It made up for watching a bobber all day.

Heard Cody mention your dropper being super long. Didn’t seem to have any issues as you clearly slayed lol. Just curious on when you run super long droppers like that, do you have hit detection issues? Do you run that length with heavier or lighter flies, or both? Is this something you do only high water?
I’ve always heard 18-24 inches is kind of the sweet spot, and longer droppers will have better presentation but worse hit detection.
