King Charles diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace confirms

- King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and will be stepping back from public-facing duties during his treatment.

During the King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted.
Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.
Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.
The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.
He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.

Anything the king also needs if he couldn’t afford being the head of state the government would step in and make sure he got whatever he needed as would happen with any head of state in any country.

I had cancer 17 years ago. Treated (operated) swiftly by the NHS, I refused the (strongly recommended) Radiation therapy, and I'm here to tell the tale. I no longer smoke though... I wish King Charles nothing but the best. If it's your time or not only God can tell.

I had breast cancer 12 years ago and had to work (teaching), as my medical insurance in the US depended on it. It was a hard and long process (one year including chemo, surgery and radiation), but I found that teaching came as a welcome distraction to all the required, sometimes difficult treatments. I've been cancer free ever since and never take jabs.

I was admitted to the hospital with stomach pain, incidentally, a CT scan showed the possibility of an unrelated problem. I am awaiting the results of urinary cytology. Potential bladder/urethral cancer. Medicine has made enormous strides in the diagnosis/management of cancer. God bless our King.
