The Electric Light Boat show has been around for years. So cool to see it. I'm shocked that you never caught it until now.
You had the best room for the electric water pageant, also you can see and hear the boats going in for the night and out in the morning. The best rooms are the tower. Because they were built individually its sound proof. Its hard to rate the resort based on one room type, the resort has 3 different ones with garden wing, tower and bay lake tower. Fact about Contemporary- the ballroom on the 3rd floor is where President Nixon made “im not a crook” speech.
Provost family - I've been a follower for years and love watching your videos more than once. Recently, there has been a lot going on my personal life that has left me feeling hopeless with nothing left to give mentally or emotionally. First thing that I noticed in the room was the welcome card on the bed. I miss getting those with each visit even in the lower cost resorts.
The Contemporary is the first place we stayed. It will always have a very special place in my heart. And, I LOVE Mary Blair so much!

I stayed at the Contemporary with my dad and brother in the 80s when we were young. The monorail through the building still amazes me!
The electric parade is super fun! You can see it from all Monorail hotels. That breakfast flatbread is also yummy and shareable. My husband and I shared it when we stayed at the Contemporary last November.

Yes this is the hotel I remember when I visited as a child. Let’s goooooo!!!
The thing about the Contemporary's rooms: It was built with the rooms pre-built and slid in. However, I've heard that story, but never believed that they would do that for renovation because it's much easier (cheaper) to renovate in-place than to replace the room. Also the equipment necessary to do that would have to be massive. (Huge cranes which is required also requires a huge base).

CR was the first place I ever stayed at WDW with my family. It was a great experience, very nice, clean, all indoors so you can really cool off, great food, and impeccable CM service. Plus, the obvious fantastic location. You will pay quite a penny for that--it's worth it. Thanks for another great one, Chris!

I love the look of this resort! It really has a strong mid-century vibe to it, and that's one of my favorite aesthetics! With that, though, comes with the fact that it's one of the older resorts at WDW, to which I attribute the less than ideal plumbing. Lol. But the retheme with The Incredibles is so perfect for that look!
You showing us around this one takes me back to 71 when World of Disney was showing what was coming. I graduated from high school 71and day dreamed about getting to go stay there 😊so thank you for the views!
