Huh I can see Grimaldus easily, but what about Dante? The Blood Angels may not believe in the way the Ecclesiarchy does but the faith of the Blood, the faith they put in the words and visions of Sanguinius (who is already practically a ‘dead’ saint), and the sheer number of people across the Imperium who venerate Dante from Armageddon to Baal. That veneration could see Dante become something different as well, perhaps more as a living embodiment of the Sanguinor as much as Mephiston is the black rage

@@Archon3960 I mean Imperial Saints are basically daemons, just with slightly different rules. Daemons require warp rifts or rituals to materialize. How appropriately ironic for 40K it would be for the first of the Living Saint Astartes to come from the sons of Rogal Dorn, who despised the powers of the Warp and whose very presence was anathema to psychers and daemons? I think it would be a perfectly fitting outcome, given the grim humor that permeates the setting.
Given his role as the Warden of Imperium Nihilus, I wouldn't be surprised if Dante becomes a living Saint as well, perhaps even in the middle of his prophecied battle in front of the Throne. It would, again, be appropriately ironic for the battle for the life of the Emperor to be decided between a man who was born into an Imperium which worships him as a God and one of the last living men who remembers him as a man, and remembers the Imperial Truth originally taught. But to have it be a man who gives his soul to the Emperor becoming the savior of this twisted Imperium through ascendance to daemonhood, while the man who has stubbornly kept his soul and rejected the offers of daemonhood is the one fighting to destroy it is just such delicious irony that I almost expect it from GW at this point

So in essence the saints like Celestine are roughly the Emperor's equivalent of a Daemon Prince or Greater Daemon, though probably closer to a prince being a mortal ascended to such powers. If the Emperor's powers in the warp are strengthening to wear he can create and maintain more of these servants, that could represent quite the shift in the Imperium's favor, even if it doesn't mean a resurrection, the Emperor's building ascension to a being in the warp capable of feats and powers equivalent to the Dark Gods would be a blessing to his beleaguered Imperium.

How cool would it be if grimaldus was fighting Kharn and Grimaldus ends up on one knee and Kharn is about to end it, then all of a sudden Sigismunds spirit enters grimaldus like the emperor did with guilliman and then shit gets epic and crazy
And you start hearing Sabaton-Last Stand

Yep. Arks of Omen looks like Angron will assault Armageddon. “The Shattered World” was one of the tarot cards. I think that’s Armageddon.

Grimaldus is the baddest assest, most ork smashingest, one liner shutdown dropping, speech making, number one Astartes. Ever. Give him Guilliman's job and the xenos won't be an issue in 10 solar years.

  • @intellectualiconoclasm3264

I think there are several Blood Angels who take that title. First and foremost we have Commander Dante!
    Then we have Chaplain Lemartes.
Then, concurrent to Grimaldus, we have Mephiston.
And some time later we have Rafen. Not a "First," but quite possibly the greatest potential Saint.
Other Chapters have their own potential Saints as well. To include, potentially, the WHOLE of The Fire Hawks. 😉

I am sure there are skins for Dawn of War 1 and 2. And there is a full mod so you can play as the Black Templars. Never tried it, I love the Black Templars, but I am a shooty kind of guy, not into getting my guys in close for close quarter combat. I always outfitted my squads with as many heavy bolters and rocket launchers as possible

Grimaldus is the most badass of the Templars. Maybe even the most badass Astartes. He is the emperors wrath made manifest. Also imagine the Big E's power if the avenging son went all biblical and started spreading faith in the emperor. It would not be hard to believe in gods if the son of one comes up and shows you miracles. There would be no greater proof of the emperors divinity in the 40k universe than Roboute himself..
