Edward the Really Useful Engine AB Remake

The engines on the Island of Sodor are all good at different things. Gordon is a very good express engine, while Percy is good at taking the mail. Edward is good at various tasks but can be often found banking other engines up Gordon's Hill. Whenever any engine has a heavy train and can't make it up the steep hill on their own, it's Edward's job to buffer up behind the trains and help push them over the hill. However, Edward is an old engine and because of this, some of the engines believe that he's not fit to work anymore. One day, Gordon voices his opinion about Edward to the other engines and he insists that Edward is worthless and deserves to be unceremoniously retired. The other big engines agree with him, but this makes Percy feel very upset. Later that day, Percy tells his driver about what Gordon said about Edward and the driver tells Sir Topham Hatt, who attends to the matter immediately.
Sir Topham Hatt comes to see Edward at Callan yards and arranges for Edward to teach Stepney to run the newly completed loop line, while Duck will look after the yards and trains. The engines are happy when they hear about Duck helping in the yards, but it makes no difference to Gordon. Meanwhile, Edward is enjoying working with Stepney and both engines have great time running passenger services along the line and puffing through the beautiful countryside. However, Duck is not having much luck with the freight cars, especially when they hold him back on Gordon's Hill. Duck is now stuck on Gordon's line and unfortunately, it is too late to switch Gordon onto the middle track so the guard tries to flag Gordon down. However, Gordon comes up from behind and tries to push Duck up the hill, but it is no good as he gets stuck too.
Gordon's crew calls for Edward, who is thrilled to be pushing two trains up the hill and as soon as Edward is ready, the strange train sets off. Soon, the engines pulls into Knapford station and when they stop, a boy, who was watching nearby, finds it funny and remarks how the back engine must the strongest and the best. Gordon feels very embarrassed by this and is told off by Sir Topham Hatt for saying very rude things about Edward, who has proven to be useful, reliable and very helpful. The next day, Gordon apologizes to Edward and thanks him for his help, telling him that he really is a useful engine. Edward smiles proudly, with Sir Topham Hatt watching nearby and is glad his plan had worked, and there was no more talk about Edward retiring.
