Swedish fragrance brand 19-69 has captured our imaginations by capturing cultural events in a bottle. First up: Purple Haze. Steve takes us through a counter culture inspired fougere which will make you think much differently about patchouli.
So, so descriptive. I love it when one uses a language so poetically. Makes it so I can almost smell it myself.

this is a cool dude. for me, pefumery and pretense are somewhat inseperable. but flowery language is just an attempt to express accurately what someone is smelling, and how it affects them. this dude seems sincere.
I went to scent bar DTLA to try it solely based on your review. It did have the tree notes and violet. Actually all scents from this house are pretty, like a water color painting
My ears perked up when you said-smells like the outdoors. What is the most outdoorsy fragrance you know of? I love Arso; it's one of my all time favorites but it's got a stringent quality that doesn't exist in Minnesota woods. I would LOVE a fragrance that always reminds me of camping. Even in January when I've got snow up to my ass!

So nice review! Thank you. In Moscow we have this brand only in this year. This is new brand for our perfume market. I tried 9 fragrances. And all of them are really good. Especially I like Rainbow bar and Chronic. At the same time Purple haze is really good too.
Villa Nellcote is the sleeper fragrance from this line. It’s so pleasant but interesting.
