Yes there’s many fights where fighters fight the ref. And not bc they’re mad at the ref but because it’s a natural instinct to protect yourself from the closest thing near you. A ref always runs to the fighter after he gets knocked out. The fighter is still unconscious but his brain is in survival mode, trying to protect the fighter any way possible
A fighter will never remember going after the ref because he’s never really conscious while doing it
Right. And sometimes if they grapple the other guy to the ground and the ref runs in, fighters could confuse the ref for the other fighter, just saw this ref almost get his tendons and ligaments ripped off
Bruh y’all gotta understand this is mma😭 these guys can take punishment that’s why even if u knock them down, u hit them while they’re down, gotta make sure they stay down and don’t get back up

In MMA, a LOT of times when a fighter gets knocked down they recover very quickly and do their best to pop right back up and continue the fight. So, you pretty much HAVE to follow up with ground strikes until the ref stops it, or you risk losing a winning opportunity. Believe it or not, there has been a ton of fights where a fighter gets knocked down multiple times in a row and keeps popping back up and ends up KOing the other fighter out of nowhere. It's a brutal sport, haha! That's why I love it. Boxing is prettier to look at, but these MMA guys are gladiators, and if you even learn the basics about these styles of fighting so that you can see and understand what they're doing, it becomes much more beautiful than it would seem to the average viewer.

I trained MMA the strikes are different we throw over hands which is more brutal cuz it goes over the top and with those straight punches because we coming off a stance so our hooks be like shovel hooks and the punches look wild because you're throwing them off of dancing an angle so the impact is more nasty
