My boyfriend has schizophrenia but also works a 9-5! He doesnt take any medication because thats what works best for him. Hes such a hard worker and provides for our life together. I love him so much.

i was diagnosed 12 years ago to the day, i have had all these issues, i thought someone was always watching me and a hear a voice that no one else hears it sucks i have been in a mental hospital 10 times, but they finally found a med that i can use that helps with my version of the disorder, but i cant work and my old life seems so far away

Bro I have had schizophrenia since 2019... hearing voices inside your head that are not yours and hearing voices in the air.... I promise you, if you seek Christ seriously. He will answer you. I seeked him and after two weeks or less the voices stopped...

I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia but I don't have hallucinations or delusions and when i have it was just people lying to me about something they did against me and pinning it on my "psych issues" the schizophrenia just makes me super awkward everywhere because I don't know what to sau to people about anything and am not confident anyone will take what i am saying the way i intend or what people want from me.
I'm sorry if this affends any of you but..I'm glad that you were able to get diagnosed. Not because I'm trying to be rude but because there's something wrong with me or several things wrong and my parents don't believe in mental illness or things like that so I really can't get any help or ask for any because...I'm just not able to. And I have tried to seek someone out myself but I don't have money.

I read somewhere it's estimated to be between 70-90% of people with schizophrenia not being employed.
I can say yes to all of what's said in this video....it's a daily thing, as for the work thing. I've been employed all my life but never been able to hold a job for long.
was diagnosed but never went any medication or help, far from it, they told me I was a paranoid schizophrenic, I told them to f off and never went back. unfortunately it's on my medical record in the UK and am treated differently....like I'm going to kill someone but I'm cool, never been a problem except in my head. that I can deal with.

@@hasanjamalkhan689 i hope you get well, please check that up, it's better to do the check-ups as soon as possible with illnesses, otherwise it usually gets worse and harder to irreverse. I got a burnout due to my physical & mental diseases, dont let it get that far.

@istilldreamaboutabigail actually, had some medication adjustments since then and things are actually manageable somehow.
Minus the depression, i’d volunteer as a speed bump by the lincoln tunnel if it meant i didnt have to wake up.

Alright I don’t want to seem like a lier to my parents. They keep gaslighting me when I say I feel like I have this because everything doesn’t feel real and I can’t tell if I’m imagining something or not. I also have heard the song lyrics change in music I am listening too and my reflection do things I’m not. I seek help but my mom won’t believe anything I say. I tried to tell her she just says things like “you’re not being truthful or honest” or “you just want attention” or “you just want a diagnosis” or “this stuff doesn’t make sense you don’t have that” how would she know if I have these symptoms? She barely talks to me and she isn’t in my skin. I feel like I’m shifting into that 2nd phase right now bc I’m hearing more things and seeing things my friends aren’t. I didn’t think I had schizophrenia until my health class started talking about schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I figured I feel like I have both of these, so I looked it up. You can’t have both but you can have schizoaffective disorder which is basically bipolar-schizophrenia. I did tests like 6 online for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and they all came out positive with key symptoms and all that. The online tests don’t make a diagnosis which is why I’m gonna try to convince my mom to take me to a psychologist for autism or adhd but instead of even talking about those things I’m going to instantly bring this up. Because I know she would never bring me there for this, which is why I have to convince her to take me for something else so that I can be able to get medicated for this.
Hopefully you get a doctor that actually hears you out before making a judgement. Good luck!

I am born with schizophrenia i have done this things i was not send to mental hospital my mom said "Theres no one there are you crazy or something?" Instead he got mad till this day i still have schizophrenia when its 11:00 pm i cant sleep i think someones watching me from the hall way or in the bathroom door the light is Shining in the hall way i cant even see i think i see a tall dark figure Standing in the Bathroom door watching me then when im alone at the house i started hearing laughing footsteps and shadows and detecting someone is behind me i think our house was a house that soldiers hide in because they say our village is a beutiful village in the past 1 year later i think someone attack the village and throw grenade and there was a lot of death thats why our village gate is abandoned

They say we BPD are in the border between psychosis and neurosis. I wonder if you guys have issues with abadonment/rejection, feel empty so you don't have a personality, having a favourite person who you're obsessed with?

what causes this
It is a hell disease, i was diagnosed with it, it makes me out of the reality, feels like my create own stories & play with myself i have no control over it. Thank god! I pray for people not to get into that disease.

No, antipsychotics are used for schizophrenia. Sometimes other meds will be added for other issues like anxiety.

Delusions and hallucinations are not normal human behavior. Its also a symptom to be unaware of this so you might have to visit a doctor soon.
