Never been to these before, was nice to finally be able to see what they looked like and what was there.

Nice to see Somerset and Dorset alive why was it closed in the first place. I saw it in use at Corfe Mullen back in early 1966 when i took my Nana to stay in Weymouth after my Pop had passed. I remember 1 loco and three coaches heading for Bournemouth possibly February 1966 i was 8 at the time.

The eggheads around at that time could see no value in railways. It was all about roads which have proved to be far greater polluters. Freight. Beeching was not interested in single loads of less than five tons. Hence below that went by road over long distances.
