- It's my last day at Disneyland! I kick off my morning with breakfast at Jolly Holiday Bakery one last time, and then head to try a final few treats! I especially loved the Tatooine Sunset at Ronto Roasters - and the Apple Pie Churro in Critter Country! It's true what they say... Disneyland Churros are a completely different world from Walt Disney World churros!

We just got back from Disneyland and stayed at the Grand Californian Resort, as we did last year too, 2 years ago we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. Love it there......going to Disney World in June!

In my opinion, having always gone to both resorts pretty equally, I love WDW for the resort part of it (eg. hotels, amenities, being isolated from the real world in the Disney bubble, etc.). Disneyland, on the other hand, as you said in the first video, is cute and quaint. But where I think it really differs from the other parks is its “magic”. They always have live music happening, characters are everywhere and they roam free, I agree that it’s cleaner, the weather is better, and the food is better. But because I’m such a Disney nerd, for me, and why I slightly prefer Disneyland over WDW, is because it’s steeped in history and it’s amazing to know that wherever you walk, Walt himself probably walked that same path. ❤
I’m not sure whether it was because it was your first time or something, but you seem to be a rides-focused guest but next time you come, set yourself enough time to just “vibe”. Disneyland excels in the vibe and community. Just walk around, interact with roaming characters, watch the bands/shows, and just sit down and people watch while you munch on a treat. I especially love Disneyland at night on a warm spring/summer/fall evening. ❤

We love Rancho de Zocalo for splitting meals with the kids. They're teens now, but we did that a lot when they were younger. Totally miss Thunder Man Railroad and Matterhorn. Crowds were really low that day.

Were you able to go on the Indiana Jones ride or was it still closed? It’s such a fun ride.
